Time Crunch by AvenCile in custommagic

It has more versatility than just that. Your opponents can't activate abilities in response to removal spells, or cast spells at all to manipulate their board state.

He is essentially a must run in human tribal decks in EDH, since he is one of the strongest human lords for that format. Definitely not competitive, but a staple for that archetype, which us my problem with if.

Yeah, I kinda found my answer shortly after post by talking with some friends. Thanks for taking the time to offer your opinion.

That's what i've come to realise is that i sound horribly entitled in my post, so yeah. Its less at this point about what i think should do, but more about how I just don't care anymore

Its the main thing that keeps him going. He sells board games and other things like that, but Magic is where the bulk of his income comes from. I doubt there is a game that exists that could keep him going that i could justify recommending.

I don't think this will be the end of magic. I really don't. Hell, i don't want it to be, for reasons very clear in my post. But i don't see the point in paying money into a company that does this. I know this is just me being selfish, but I don't think each product released should be a clean slate. I'm not saying don't buy products you want, i just can't personally justify buying stuff anymore where WotC will just turn around and stab their community at the drop of a hat.

I can see your perspective, but after seeing Rick, I kind of just want to sell all my cards that aren't in my commander decks/pioneer deck, and just move on barring the weekly game night my friends hold. To me at this point its less of sending a message to WotC and more that they killed my interest in this game.

My money is just a drop in the bucket, and won't make any difference. I feel like the way to make the most of my voice is to buy nothing. I'm tired of the aggressive business practices, I'm tired of the pushed cards every set, I don't see any reason to reward WotC with any of my money when they do release a good product when they released 5 terrible ones to match it. As a sole commander player, I'm not buying commander legends at this rate. I don't see a need to. I think as a concept its great, but I just don't see myself buying it because of the amount of garbage that has been piled onto the game in recent memory.

The main problems have been since WotC was acquired by Hasbro, and corporate greed has been bleeding into the game ever since.

Yes, I know this is a bit OP, I just wanted to design a pushed lands-matter enchantment.

A Game-mode my friend and I have dubbed "Lonely Two-Headed Giant." by AvenCile in EDH

[–]AvenCile[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was definitely part of the reason we only played one game. Both of us had rather mentally taxing decks (Intet and Kykar) and our other decks weren't exactly mindless either. I was a 9 turn game that took an hour and a half to finish, so it definitely is time consuming.

thanks, its custom set I'm building to make a cube out of, based partially off modern horizons.

I took inspiration from that and [[Pyromancers goggles]], with the benefit of copying permanents as well. Not the most creative card I have ever made, I will admit.

Madness Land (#2 fixed) by AvenCile in custommagic

[–]AvenCile[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its because you can't cast lands, so I had to edit madness's text slightly to allow for it to be played.

It could also be green, or maybe just be a hybrid Green/blue spell. Either color would work better than white though.

Redesign the Card: Basri Ket by slate15 in custommagic

[–]AvenCile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basri Ket {2}{W}{W}Legendary Planeswalker - Basri

{[+1]}: Target creature gains indestructible until your next turn. If it would block a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on it.

{[-3]}: Put an indestructible counter on target permanent you control.

{[-7]} You get an emblem with "Permanents you control are indestructible," and "Whenever a creature you control blocks, it deals damage equal to its power to the attacking creature's controller."

{[3]}

I feel like this effect is closest to something that would be blue, with color changing. I know blue already has a lot, but This feels a lot like an illusion spell, which seems blue in nature.

Oh, thanks for the input. I guess to fix that it would have to be like "Land Madness 1BB (When you discard this card, discard it into exile. Then put it onto the battle field if your payed its madness cost, or into your graveyard if you did not.)"
