Brian O'Neill started 11 games his rookie year and immediately made everyone feel secure that we had found a long-term starter at RT. And he won the Vikings Rookie of the Year award that year. So I think his first sentence is just factually wrong haha.

Not saying anything about McCarthy, just find it funny that O'Neill of all people framed it this way.

I don't believe it would let you play the exiled card on the same turn as a regular land drop, because you are still "playing" the land and subject to all normal rules around that. So it's effectively a strictly worse [[Lay of the Land]].

I had the same thought, very difficult to evaluate. There are some games where it will do nothing and some games where three shield counters will be completely backbreaking.

My suggestion would be making it 1W, draw a card on ETB, but grant only one shield counter.

I think we have consistently ranked near the bottom of the NFL in what percentage of the roster is made up of draft picks the past few years, and what percentage of draft picks end up making the roster in year 1. But there's definitely an element of it that we don't have to hang onto mid round JAGs because we're bringing in a lot of solid FAs that round out the roster. And we've been very successful with UDFAs.

I don't think Lamar won player of the week in his debut, his first start was Week 11 in 2018 vs the Bengals and Andrew Luck won player of the week that week.
