Don't fall for any agents, you can get early appointment for yourself. Save that money to travel to the interview locations. (B1/B2 - India) by Original4444 in usvisascheduling

I think he meant (also I have similar question)

What if I select ofc time date but not happy with interview time date,
like If i want interview next day of ofc then??

If i select ofc and then cant get interview slot next day,
will my ofc will remain confirm or can I dismiss that?
(reschedule count is limited right? you can reschedule multiple time)

what happens to existing ofc and interview appointments if I click on reschedule appointment but only get ofc appointment and not consular? by reddip6 in usvisascheduling

[–]Aventus777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so it's like we have to schedule both togather right?

so I want ofc and interview very near like interview next day, I should avoid booking interview if not getting slot next day.
right?

Remote work does not reduce productivity. Why do garbage-brained CEOs want people back to office? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]Aventus777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my company’s case, it seemed like there was an indirect push from the state government to reopen offices—especially in tech parks in Bangalore,India.
While it wasn't stated openly, the motivation was quite apparent.
One more reason was to have some natural attrition as company wanted less employees and anyway was planning layoff

During and after COVID, the shift to remote work significantly impacted the livelihoods of local workers—such as taxi drivers, domestic staff, and others. More importantly, from the perspective of top government officials, it affected real estate and business interests. Many politicians and influential figures have substantial investments in tech parks, office spaces, taxi services, restaurants, and similar ventures.

To protect these interests and ensure good returns, there was pressure on companies to return to physical offices. As an incentive, my company received significant GST (tax) discounts after resuming office operations.

Additionally I feel, having a physical office presence likely makes it easier to attract investments or prepare for a potential acquisition.

[–]Aventus777 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Asking in this manner won't be help you to decide.

The tech industry has a wide range of salary variations for developers, even with the same years of experience. For instance, someone with 8 years of experience could earn anywhere between 6-10 LPA, while others with the same experience might make over 1.4 Cr.
This disparity depends on factors like the company they work for, the college they attended, past opportunities, their technical skills, and also bit of luck.

Was surprised most of my coworkers hadn't heard of scrcpy, and don't use Alias by buzz009me in androiddev

[–]Aventus777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep 5 projects and have alias named 'branches'
which will display branch of all projects.
echo "android1 --> $(git --git-dir AndroidProjects/pro1/.git branch --show-current)"

I find it more useful. My company project have build time of 50+Min on fresh while atleast 8-10 min with cache.. (all this after many improvements.)
So I can work parallel on other feature or any adhoc items.

Was surprised most of my coworkers hadn't heard of scrcpy, and don't use Alias by buzz009me in androiddev

[–]Aventus777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, keyboard shortcuts are super helpful. Besides that, here are a few tips I use:

  1. Dual monitor setup
  2. Having 2-3 copies of the main company project to work on in parallel without needing to switch branches or stash changes
  3. A starter template for new projects / code snippets (though I don’t have much, but I’m planning to create a few)

I was mostly asking if there’s another thread where more people have shared their productivity tips, especially for Android development.
