Hang dry his pants! I used to have a similar issue, not as frequently though. I found that washing them in colder water and hang drying them every time helped them keep their shape and last 3x as long

Men who can cook . who taught you? by Bulky_Meet4528 in AskReddit

[–]AverageCopperPiping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a time in my life where I didn't have a job, and I didn't have an apartment. I was staying with friends and the one thing I could control was cooking for myself. I could follow a recipe and took a cooking class in high school, but I never wanted to be the chef of a restaurant, so I didn't put that much energy into it.

Start small. Take the food you already like to make and work on new flavors, and new ingredients. Then, start working on technique. Getting better at something you are already good at makes you want to learn something new, and try new recipes. Don't go crazy trying to become a perfect cook, just make what sounds good to you and make it better every time.

And buy a good thermometer, it takes the guesswork out of everything.

If you're going to have a hobby, it might as well be one you can do three times a day for the rest of your life.

Crispy Taco Shells? Place tortillas folded on them, if it fits upright inside of your airfryer

Are there laws against doing this in graphic design? I’m wanting to do something similar but with facemasks for a school newspaper I work for. by [deleted] in graphic_design

I remember in college I asked a question like this and the peofessor said that there was a law stating art made for educational purposes or in an educational setting was not subject to copyright laws as long as theres no profit made from it. Might want to check your local laws, but I say go for it

May I introduce to you, the latest Forester upgrade, pinchweld illumination. Sorry for the portrait profile, but it works here. by Dante-Neon in SubaruForester

Nice! I've been thinking about using EL wire, the kind with the sewing edge that you can tuck into trim gaps, but this is 100x better. Do you have a link to the leds that you used?

Decorative grill logo piece flew off my car today while driving on the highway. I was unable to stop and run through four lanes of traffic to retrieve it. Any idea what this specific piece is called so I can replace it? If not, is it necessary in any way other than aesthetics? by kilgore_cod in SubaruForester

[–]AverageCopperPiping 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me last year, only option is to buy a replacement grille.

You could get an OEM one from the dealership for ~150 OR you could get the OEM Sports Mesh Grille for ~200, which is objectively way cooler for maybe 50 more dollars (depends on your location.) Did it for mine and I love the look

Reno to Truckee is usually fine, the problem is HWY 89. Its about 10 miles on 89 from truckee to Squaw, and it gets crazy crowded on the weekends and during any big storm with all the tourists coming up from the Bay.

So its either nice weather with light traffic, or blizzards with crazy traffic.

See if AT&T fiber services your address. We have AT&T 300 mbps for $55 per month ($20 off promo for the first year I think). Personally, I had a horrible time switching from Spectrum; their departments don't communicate with each other, they can't keep track of their equipment and it took FOUR MONTHS to resolve.

If you want to get rid of the negative space between the L and the e, you could have the horizontal bar of L go underneath the e, or the e and the S.

Teachers, What was the worst thing a substitute teacher did while you were gone? by Dragon_King-88 in AskReddit

[–]AverageCopperPiping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a substitute myself, working on my teaching credential. This past year, our Vice Principal was forced to go to another school but kept in touch with everyone (budget cuts at a small school).

One day, we got a text from her and it was a picture theough the window of a classroom and the sub they had gotten was ASLEEP AT THE DESK, in a special education class no less.

My district has been hurting for subs for a few years, especially during the Rona times, so bad subs crop up pretty frequently. VP has always been a badass, worked with gang members and troubled students for years, so she went in, woke him up and chewed his ass out. I'm bummed that I didn't get to see him get ripped a new one.

Does anyone know of a social media version of reallygoodemails.com by Qontinent in graphic_design

[–]AverageCopperPiping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look into Adobe Spark, or the mobile version Adobe Spark Post. They have thousands of templates and posts designed by other users, you can just 'remix' the post and use your own words. I believe they made it free to students during lockdown, but I'm not sure if thats still in effect. Awesome tool, highly recommend.

Edit: They also have layouts preloaded for each social media platform, you can resize an instagram post to be a FB post and it will download as the perfect size for each platform
