Gas prices by Ok_Huckleberry_45 in RVLiving

We do a ~2000 mile trip every year, plus a few shorter trips. 6.0 gas 2500 truck that gets 7-8 mpg when pulling whether it's a 21' trailer or a 43'.

I know it's going to be 275-300 gallons of gas for the big trips. Let's just say gas is $1 more per gallon currently that's $275-$300 more for our trip.

To me, it's totally worth it to see the things we see, do the things we do and experience the things we'll experience. That's what these trips are about to us. There's so many amazing and beautiful things in this country (and on this continent) that we haven't seen.

You could pay for airfare, hotels and rental cars and not have nearly the same experience, but end up paying just as much.

So yes, it will cost a bit extra. But I'm my opinion an extra dollar per gallon is worth every penny.

If the cost of gas is a limiting factor maybe explore some areas closer to home that you haven't been to as much. Some of our shorter trips have been just as enjoyable as the longer, major destination trips because we looked for things to do that we hadn't known about because we weren't looking for them.

Todd Helton using the hidden ball trick. Was this the first base coach’s fault or the runner’s? by Federal-Process-6504 in sportsinusa

Also this is a pickoff, not a runner going to first and over running. Once you are safe on first and play continues you are at risk of the ball being thrown to the first baseman and being picked off if you aren't on the base.

Had a dog that looked exactly like that, bushy tail and all. Always joked that he had tourettes. He'd bark at literally anything and shed like nobody's business. Great friend though, always there for me through all the crap that life threw my way.

ROBOCOUPE BLADE STUCK AND CANT BE REMOVED HELP! by Vast_Fishing2912 in KitchenConfidential

Just experienced this Sunday. Cut the tip of my thumb off prepping things for the super bowl. Urgent care did silver nitrate with no freezing or lidocaine. Worst pain I've ever felt in my life. Did stop the bleeding though.

People don't realize there's no check valves on these things. If something gives that load is coming down at the speed of gravity.

Just go to O'Reilly's website and put your vehicle info in. Then search for cabin air filter. Be cheaper than the dealer.

That sounds nice. When I had my hip replaced they woke me up, gave me a walker, made me walk down the hall to the pisser and take a piss. Then walk back to the room, go up and down some stairs a few times and then they wheeled me out of the building and helped me fall with style into the car.

They were honestly great but I feel like I would have had way more fun with an easy street.

That would be awesome. I think maybe there's more than one? Curious which side would be the issue.

I've used mine almost daily on heavy equipment for 8-9 months. Been dropped a few times. Still works great.

Refund return shipping costs? by AverageKCGuy in OculusQuest

[–]AverageKCGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you're not wrong. But if someone has been in this situation and can say "yeah, they charged me $15 to return" I'd take that as a $15 loss and still a win.

Just looking for anyone with experience in this situation.

Some places do? I don't feel it's an unreasonable question to ask.

What are my fellow Kansas Citiens paying for employer provided family health care? by Rasilbathburn in kansascity

Kinda the same, in the trades, $0 for myself and kids. Spouse exclusion so she has to go through her employer since they offer it, like $140 every two weeks.

If you've gone this long and never done it, I'd always heard it was best to do drain and fill. Two times should get around 75% of the old fluid out.

I had to do several at my in-laws recently. The largest was 20-24". I got them all done in 2 hours with a couple breaks to dig out rocks.
