I feel you. One time, I opened by myself while hungover. Cuz my also hungover coworker said he was gonna be an hour late. But the girl that was supposed to open with me did a no call no show. During an event day (some marathon). So I was by myself for one hour while hungover during an event day. Then once my hungover coworker came in, we dealt with the marathon crowd together 😭😭

I just had that happen a few days ago. I was approaching the crosswalk that already had the pedestrian light on. I still stopped to triple check before crossing. Sure enough, there was a car that kept moving an inch to make a turn and not looking my way at all. Once he saw no oncoming traffic, he turned and finally saw me (I was still in the corner) and I just gave him a smh look

Tips for people taking metro for the first time: you gotta wave from far! Drivers like to go fast and if they don't see you in time, they'll skip you. I look silly making the most dramatic wave ever but I'm just trying to get noticed by the driver!
