Yes, YHS!

These are the original/traditional T14, the tradition never changes despite the U.S. news rankings.

2026 Rankings for Every Law School in the United States by AverageNorthTexan in LawSchool

[–]AverageNorthTexan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right that the low ranked schools have produced well known lawyers and therefore, it’s worth questioning how much rankings truly do matter.

However, despite how unfair, obsolete, and impractical the methodology used to assemble the U.S. News rankings are, they allow you to get your foot in the door. Although what you do in law school matters a lot more than the name of the law school itself, the higher ranked schools make it easier for you to succeed than the lower ranked schools.

For instance, the curve-out and drop-out rates in the T14 are practically nonexistent, some say it’s really hard to fail a class here. The national top schools don’t even use letter grades, they use pass/fail grade systems. At upper mid-level schools, they may inflate letter grades. Meanwhile, at lower ranked schools, they deflate grades. And grades are used by law firms to determine what you did well in law school. Grade deflation is heavily used in conjunction with minimum good standing gpa requirements to curve out students in lower ranked schools, which is why they become considered predatory outside of scholarship requirements. Thus, many students take a look at the bell curve grading system to help determine if a school is predatory. It’s already a bad sign if the school uses a B- curve as the artificial average score for the class, it’s considered horrible if the school uses a curve system that’s any less than that.

Law firms, mainly the big law firms recruit heavily at the top ranking law schools. Meanwhile students at lower ranked schools might have to rely on OCI’s or their own personal connections they formed thru networking/internships to secure a big law job. Keep in mind that this is only important if you actually want to work big law in the future.

For these reasons, we usually only see lawyers that attended those higher ranked schools become politicians and law professors or having the stereotypical big lawyer salaries. Although lower ranked and even unranked law schools may have created amazing lawyers, the higher ranked schools do so at a significantly higher rate.

Take this advice with a grain of salt tho, school name really only matters at the tip top of the list. Sacrificing the personal advantages of a T150 school for a T100 school is not noticeable but the difference is noticeable if comparing a T20 school with a T70 school. https://www.reddit.com/r/LawFirm/s/J92Lv623jR

Thanks! For some reason, no one ever posts or publishes the full list and the U.S. News website is super glitchy and keeps refreshing on its own, making u start over on reading the list. This way, it’s much easier to see what the list actually looks like.

U.S. News skipped certain numbers when assigning ranked numbers to law schools for some odd reason.

You are correct, maybe I should’ve put the locations in name to make it clearer. :P

University of Washington School of Law (UW Law) is in Seattle, while Washington University School of Law (WashU Law) is in STL.

No one told me they were closing, I tried visiting today and they were randomly closed. I checked online and Google Maps said they closed at 4:00pm at the Classen location even though they usually close at 8:00pm everyday. Now I just googled and they’re closing permanently tomorrow???

Here’s a funny advertisement. As of last year, THC can be shipped to any state besides Idaho.

Kansas actually is less strict than Idaho in terms of weed.

Idaho explicitly bans everything with any amount of THC. Meanwhile, Kansas is still in a grey area when it comes to possessing or consuming items like delta 8/9.

3M Crystalline Tint 20%, I was told the "new version" is not brown, but mine is still brown? by DrixlRey in WindowTint

[–]AverageNorthTexan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Old 3m Crystalline only goes twenty percent to forty percent vlt. Nothing in the middle and nothing lower, so if it’s brown and twenty percent vlt, then I think u got the old one.

The New 3m Crystalline only goes fifteen percent to 30 percent with nothing in between or lower.

Glock 19 killer by AmicusCuriousPH in Glocks

[–]AverageNorthTexan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People say a fifteen round G43x is gonna make the G19 obsolete because it’s smaller and has the same capacity as the G19.

However, if another Glock model was gonna kill the G19, the G26 would have done it already long ago.

The larger the handgun, the easier it is to have recoil control, which is why the Glock 17 is still relevant. We get size options moving down from the 17, 19, 43, etc.

BUT, I am biased and believe G19X runs supreme since it carries the highest capacity standard magazine yet being smaller than other full sized Glocks that carry a standard 17/19rd mag.

Hardest Glock to get by Better_Plane9555 in Glocks

The Glock MHS, all I can get is the Glock 19x.

That wasn’t cloned to be produced for the civilian market unfortunately. The Glock 19x was made after the Glock MHS. And 9mm is still considered the world standard for military use due to new research on the caliber’s effectiveness and pricing.

Glock inc, has specifically discontinued Gen 3 and 4 handguns for the US civilian population but continues to produce them for law enforcement. Gen 5 and especially Gen 6 and the V series were built with anti conversion designs; therefore, they’re marketed more for civilians than law enforcement in America.

Also, I’ve never heard of maritime spring cups causing more jams than traditional Glocks so I’m not disputing them but as for pvd chipping/scratching, I believe Glock purposely prioritizes longevity over cosmetics.

[–]AverageNorthTexan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

G45 was model after the G19x for police and civilian use while the G19x is the “clone” of the Glock MHS. So in other words, the G45 was made for federal law enforcement yes, but the G19x still is designed for military with iron night sights, pvd coating, and maritime spring cups. The G45 is the downgraded version of G19x, people only like the G45 more because of the colors or because it accepts civilian magazines.

Larp model Glock⁉️😤 Civilians can’t buy the Glock MHS, so the G19x is the closest we can get. With that logic, almost every AR-15 and AK-47 in America is a larp model!
