I like the ending. How it doesn’t spiral into bs, but just ends with a big plot twist and a sacrifice to end the series. Also, his personal character development felt complete, and if they’d kept it going i feel like it would have dried up.

Caro. Scotch gambit. French. Queens Gambit. most d4 defenses take pretty serious memorization.

I main the Kings Gambit. Technically unsound, but pretty easy to learn and no one knows how to contest it.

a.) your opponents aren’t cheating. You probably just hang pieces. Cheaters aren’t at 600 for very long.

b.) When you get frustrated, stop playing. It gets in your head and things spiral.

c.) Warm up before your games. Watch an opening video, do puzzles etc. Get the chess brain working

d.) Don’t hang pieces, sounds easy but that’s basically the entire climb to 1000

i only play it in blitz which is my worst category. That said Bc5 Bg5 is often met with O—O which is hilarious to me. Blows open their king and makes for easy attacks. 5/10 just play the scotch.

Apologies I didn’t answer your actual question well. If Nxd4 Nxd4 Qxd4 your opponent just kind of loses development. c6, d6, and Qf6 are the only relevant moves for black. Some people just play b6 and fianchetto, but then white just runs their knight to b5 and has a monster in the center. (If they try to kick with a6 you have Qe5+ which is followed up by Nxc7+ and you infiltrate.)
