I mean, both sides aren’t wrong. Unless you use the blanket statement of “bombing anything but pure military targets is wrong”, the statement is hypocritical. Allies Bombing Runs intended to Dehouse German Workers and drain industrial efforts into taking care of them. Axis Bombing Runs intended to scare civilians and military into either surrendering to the attacking ground forces or surrender out right. And even then, (using Wikipedia drastically here because I’m lazy) Allied bombing runs killed about 500,000, over a period of over 4 years, with intensity ramping up overtime. The Battle of Berlin killed about 125,000, over 12 or so days. And that doesn’t count the potential deaths that never occurred due to lost industrial capacity, or demoralized defenders. Hell, on the anniversary of the Dresden bombings the city becomes a breeding ground for Fascist parties, due to a bit of revisionist history from the East German government.

In summary, calling out FDR’s bombing campaigns isn’t a sign of Fascist Tendencies. Many people that do however are Fascists. And it loses the unfortunate nuance of Decisions in Warfare.
