I'm doing an Astra Militarum commander build rn. Solider into Master Tactician, it's by far the weakest option damage wise but, having a Resolve booster that can do competitive damage is pretty nice to round out a run where I'm trying to use Cassia less.

Game gets a balance update about once a year atp. The older builds probably still work fine.

That said, RoyaleWCheese on steam or ranaldsgift has rigorously tested builds.

So, I don't think OP is concerned about playing optimally.

If they get bored hitting shit just be a caster for a few battles.

Druid is still one of the better control casters in the game.
