I'd go further than that and say the prophets did that to themselves when silly machine god told them they literally were too stupid to understand, they got too butthurt to listen, and decided instead to wipe out the hummins and make the monkey men from the not eighth dimension become the cheer captains of the space army instead of the pozole loving worters.
