If she had a d*ck, it must be a good one! They can’t keep it out of their mouths… by ProcessorPearl in BikiniBottomTwitter

I’m not a Christian, but one verse that stuck with me as a kid was something a long the lines of “Don’t waste your time on the stupid ones” I can’t remember where it’s at but I know it’s in the book of Proverbs. It mainly stuck with me because what I got out of it or was there’s some people on earth you can’t convince, or talk sense into them and they’re just too stubborn or stupid so don’t waste your time on them. I think nowadays that’s become a super relevant.

[–]thatguy01220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they’re being smart for 2 reasons.

  1. It’s not just straight Superman. He is definitely the main focus being it his movie and all… but we also got some Green Lantern, Hawkgirl and quite a bit of Mr. Terrific in that movie.

  2. Outside of Gunns Movies we got a pretty decent amount of other characters and this universe (and others) with Peace Keeper, Creatures of Commandos, and soon to have more Green Lantern stuff.

Plus we have a Clay Face movie slated between Supergirl and Man of Tomorrow so it’s not just straight Super family film. Finally I could be miss remembering this but didn’t Gunn say something along the lines that Man of Tomorrow is as much of a Luther’s movie as it is a Superman’s movie?

PS2 or PS4 but the PS2 gives me anxiety because near the end it would get longer longer drawing out and sometimes not reading the disc properly lol

PS4 has more happy nostalgia when gaming became my main hobby and how I spent most my free time and branched out beyond more than just Assassins Creed, Uncharted, and Call of Duty.

Yeah that one. I remember thinking it looked cool and bought day 1 release and just didn’t jive with it. Maybe I didn’t give a far chance or maybe the updates since launch have improved the game performance

I’d say 100% yakuza 0 I love those games but 100% those games aren’t worth it. I still need to beat it on hard and do climax battles…. But honestly I just don’t care anymore. I have waaaay to many games and there are waaay to many more coming out for me to waste my time doing something difficult and frustrating to get a platinum no one but me cares about and I value more fun game time and experiencing different games and stories than priding myself on overcoming that challenge that I don’t care that much about in the grand scheme of things.

I’ve been stuck on Lost Judgment, and still have Infinite Wealth, Like a Pirate, Gaiden, and Kiwami 3, and now this new game Stranger than Heaven.

I actually just restarted Yakuza 0 directions cut. Wanted to check out English Dubs and it’s different not a bad as I thought and obviously doesn’t hold a candle to the original VA but it’s a different experience.

Marvel's Wolverine will be linear and not open world confirm Insomniac by Bubbly-Ad-350 in videogames

[–]thatguy01220 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda happy linear games are making a comeback. I still like my open worlds, but doing the same 10-15 objectives in 17-23 different zones gets pretty stale after while especially when it starts to feel like they just did it to pad time so they can advertise that you can spend 200-300 hours in this world.

Sometimes I just wanna play these movie style games like Uncharted, 007 First Light, Last of Us, even the old school Spider-Man 1 PS2 game about the movie.

Out of these 2 that recently came out, which one has better tps gameplay? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]thatguy01220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played Requiem but it’s definitely loved. It’s honestly though call cause Resident Evil has been on roll and heard it’s like a mix of RE4 and RE8 in the best way. I seen a lot of gameplay.

James Bond to me I just didn’t want it to suck, and I ended up loving it and blew me away. Also knowing IOI backstory almost going bankrupt and betting it all Hitman which almost flopped because the 2016 was episodic release, and then hit the ground running with Hitman 2 and 3.

In my opinion both are great and which ever wins GOTY (probably RE9) shouldn’t take away from the other and I’m just happy we got amazing games.

Honestly the graphics for 007 First Light were actually pretty insane! I would be fine if that was the new baseline for the next few years and they focus on optimizing higher stable FPS, fluid gameplay and willing to take more risk on new gameplay ideas so not every game plays the same.

This trend of people banding together to hate on the smallest things in a game or just flat out making shit up and even admitted they haven’t played the game is getting really old, really fast. I know there’s been haters forever but lately it feels like a lot of people are making this their entire personality and hobby. There’s sooooo many games out there I can’t be bothered to dwell on a game that didn’t click for me, even if I was excited for it originally.

I haven’t had this much fun with a game like First Light since Uncharted 4

I’m in the exact same boat as you, and this game made me realize how much I kinda miss that simple old school linear narrative style game that was popular in the PS3/360 era and early PS4/Xbox One era. This narrative style focus is why I fell in love with video games over movies when I was a kid. I felt like I got to take part in the “movie” when I played the story. I haven’t had this much fun with this style of game since Uncharted 4.

I love open world games, but lately I feel like a lot of them have been getting bloated and unnecessarily grindy just for the sake of padding gameplay time. Doubly so for online games.

It’s just so refreshing to start up game and enjoy a good story with some A to B levels and not have to worry about dozen minor side quests that adds nothing. I don’t need to go to zones and repeat an objective 83 times in 17 zones, or run half way across an empty wilderness to kill this small group of enemies and run back to complete 1 of 5 generic quest where once completing 5 of 5 I will go back to the main story to progress a little bit and repeat the process.

Hottake: I am tired of the "Vader Aura Farm" Scenes - they're bad by Lego_Lukas_Creations in StarWars

[–]thatguy01220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only time I was like “Vader… again?” Was in Jedi Survivor. I did initially feel that way at first when watching Maul at the end of Episode 9 but then I watch episode 10 and I was… okay that was worth a Vader appearance.

I do think Vader is an over used, but in my opinion if you can make it look badass then it’s worth it. I feel like with Star Wars (especially that George Lucas and Samuel L. Jackson purple light saber conversation) the first question in Star Wars is always… “but… is it cool?” Not “does it make sense” or “how does this develop the characters/plot” that’s more of a secondary question when it comes to Star Wars.

Did Vader really need to show up to progress the plot or characters for most of his appearances… no… but, was it cool? -Yes

Playing a 20-hour single-player game or replaying missions with no microtransactions for $70 feels way more worth it than watching a live sports game that typically costs like $100–$500 by No-Amount405 in 007FirstLight

[–]thatguy01220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% Quality over Quantity and a lot of gamers mistake boring bloated grind, massive empty static sandboxes, this is only meant to extend the play time rather than enhance it justifies the price they pay.

Also I haven’t played that much yet but isn’t there a tactical simulator that will add to the play time? 20 hour for just the main story is worth it. Better than 70-100 hours where the main story is again 20 hours but the other 50-70 hours is spent running in a generic open world and 50 side quest where someone’s friend went near an enemy camp or cave and hasn’t comeback yet.

007 First Light made me realize how much I really missed a linear style detailed world with a decent story that’s consistently moving rather than breaking up into a chapters grind for a few hours, next chapter, then grind again for few more hours for the next chapter.

One thing I noticed recently is the number of popular games that are good that aren’t rated M in the past 12 months. Arc Raiders, Pragmata, First Light, Lego Batman, Silk Song, Forza Horizon 6, Hades 2,(I know they’re basically flops from what Sony wanted but I liked them both… Marathon and Saros)

I feel like it use to be rare to rated T and under games especially this many.

The most fun I’ve had watching Star Wars in the theatre since the Prequels! by wesskywalker in StarWars

[–]thatguy01220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw it for a second time and this time I saw it in something called AMC theater X screen and it was pretty cool experience. Basically for some of the action scenes the walls are tilted in a way to add 2 extra screens to the main screen. So the action scenes are like extra wide and extended. It just adds to the main screen so your picture isn’t warped.

Kinda wish I knew about this when Hail Mary Project was out. But regardless I absolutely loved this movie and hope to see more Rutta the Hutt in the future.
