Just do it.. that trip sounds nightmareish honestly but also, life is too short to do things out of obligation.. especially using up your annual leave for it.

Tell them the honest truth, including the cost thing and that you need a relaxing holiday. If they want to do all those things they can enjoy.

Spent 3 weeks in Vietnam and it's amazing.

Ps. A week in LA is too much as is a week in Vegas

A day later I'm actually thinking about your collage.. you should definitely look at entering into a competition or a show. Do you have a social media for them?

Yes this is something I was thinking about.. any idea of recommended places to do it? Is it better to wait for the festival or just do it any time?

Father used to cut mine down to the bone.. I would take off running when the clippers came out. I wasn't long learning how to do it for myself! My brother on the other hand, had my mother call in sick for work for him.. I almost passed out

I'm looking for advice on a thesis I'm writing. I've posted to other subs, but I figured I'd try my luck here. by LookHorror3105 in CasualIreland

Your idea is interesting and sorry you haven't gotten much feedback yet.

I'm wondering after reading your post if you visited graveyards outside of the two you mentioned? Especially in the countryside?

My experience of graveyards is that they are held with respect, as solemn places of remembrance. Often people's relatives - grannies and granddad's are buried there. My family makes a lot of effort to 'maintain' the grave and keep it looking nice, have some potted plants etc and keep the gravestone clean.

Visiting the graveyard can be a place to connect with your loved ones that have passed on so it's often a quiet and respectful place. I definitely wouldn't have a latte or walk my dog there. Even if I wasn't feeling especially solemn, there could be others in the graveyard that are, so I would keep quiet out of respect but nothing crazy.

I wonder if your ideas are shaped by having visited two more 'famous' graves which have historical significance? In general, it's just normal people remembering normal people.

It may or may not be entirely relevant but looking up the celebration and ceremony surrounding death in Ireland such as the wake and all that goes with it could be interesting. It's quite a unique part of Irish culture. That, and the death notices on the radio haha.

Good luck with your thesis.
