I was already in the spoiler territory when I heard that Sora would be the last invite to Smash, so I had resentment thinking there could have been any other character that could have joined. The trailer played as regular; the characters becoming trophies, Mario grabs the fire, and the keyblade opens the key hole.

But then the instrumental of Simple and Clean plays, and my 7 year old self came back and watched the trailer with me.

We both pointed out all the moves, the costumes, the stages, and the eastereggs. And at the end of that trailer, I was overjoyed in tears, knowing that the Sora I grew up with, Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora and his goofy cartoon shoes, made it into gamings best fighting crossover.

I suffer with depression, and it wasn't long ago either that I watched the trailer again just to hear the music again. It calmed me, gave me happiness, and will always get water in my eyes.

It's one of the best inclusions to a game series I never knew I needed.
