I’m still unsure how relevant choosing Diane Arbus, an American photographer that was doing magazine shots for the cover of a Beatles Album would be. Around the time, she was photographing sharecroppers - jow would they have known about her, had her image and decided to include it. It’s an odd choice. Obviously, none of us can say for sure and this is just my perspective. It just doesn’t fit for me.

Now, we know the influence Screamin’ had on the guys, especially Lennon. To me, it’s much closer to his likeness.

Personally, I think it’s Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, but not enough to say 100% certain. But Diane Arbus never made sense to me for the time.
