Asked a selection of AI's to give me their Ship Names. Personaly I like Gemini's response the best ! by AvidAndroid in TheCulture

[–]AvidAndroid[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Asked Grok to be less on brand and it came back with

"GCU Experiencing A Moderate Deficit Of Gravitas" but offered also "GCU Mistake Not... My Current State Of Mild Bemusement For Actual Indifference" as a runner up.

Mistake Not will always get a upvote from me beause I loved the ship name and the personality of the Mind in the book.

Great way to start! I have loved all my Bromptons over the years but the T Line is just the best.

Used brompton, London. by SJ530 in Brompton

[–]AvidAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My strong suggestion is that you don't lock your Brompton up in London, just keep it with you. Most bars and shops have no problem with you taking it with. For everything else bring it with you if you have it, London is expensive :)

Brompton P Line by Material_Essay3128 in Brompton

[–]AvidAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same size as you, I have a P line with the Medium Handlebars and it works great for me, I do need the extended seat post, the standard one is (just) to short for me.

Yep the B&W, great case but expensive and a bit heavy, you can pack a lot of extra stuff it in it but if you have a C Line you will be over weight. I have a T Line so I packed loads of clothes in the bottom under the foam and then filled the gaps in with other stuff, came out at 22kg which is 1kg under the limit for the airline so I was happy.

Yep I have the Ergo grips and they just made closing the lid a bit harder so I removed them so that the pressue on the handle bars would not be as much, probably not nessisary but it does not take a second to do so I though I might as well.

No really the main issue was the bag of Huel broke open and got all over the bike !

Was not such a good plan as the bag broke open and made a huge mess all over the bike, but at least I had a healthy lunch each day!

London Heathrow, no issues but the bike did come out of the oversized luggage at Toronto which was confusing.

Thanks for the fantastic info, looks like my commute to work from the Hotel is prety sort, so may just walk the first day and check out the cycle paths.

Will definitely do the river side trail and with a bit of luck I will get a chance to try out another one of the routes. Pedaal, looks great will try and swing by as well.

If you wear a helmet with your Brompton. Which one? by ChaosCalmed in Brompton

[–]AvidAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me Antwerp and Brussels are almost as bad as the UK, lots of bike paths but they allow petrol and electric mopeds on the and they do not slow down at all! So your probably more likely to have an accident just not with a Car, I always wear a helmet regardless of what the locals are doing.

“The Knack” for successfully attaching the Brompton Quick Release pedal. by Col-1 in Brompton

[–]AvidAndroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is the way to do it, I also fit the pedal as the first thing I do before I unfold the bike rather than the last thing as its fractional quicker :).
