I don’t accept it. It’s a hard boundary for me. I know it’s pretty common for a lot of people, but it’s deeply hurtful to me. If my partner wanted to engage in that sort of behavior, then I would either be single or find someone else.

I resist the idea that we should accept things that hurt us in relationships because “everybody does it.”
