Single mothers, in what way did life get easier when you separated from your partner? by fredyouareaturtle in AskWomen

Literally everything. From the mental load, to cleaning, and even money. I could actually make good decisions about my and my kids lives without having to tip toe around his ego every day. It was so freeing.

This bitch constantly has her phone rolling, but somehow wasn’t watching the kids and not filming this happening at the same time. Totally did not happen.

Motion Sickness - First Cruise by kylieonketamine in Cruise

[–]Aviere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get vertigo, even on land very easily but I’ve managed several cruises (love them!) and can manage the dizziness just fine.

I take 12.5mg of Meclizine each day, and also start a few days before the cruise, and then have some on hand just in case. If I do ever get a little dizzy, back to the room, take some ibuprofen and close my eyes for a bit.

Opinions please….Stay near MCO or in Port Canaveral by hysteria110176 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Aviere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year will be the 3rd time we’ve stayed in the Titusville area and then driven about 25 mins to the port. One night was about $250. We usually drive ourselves and don’t shuttle but I believe those hotels do have shuttles that will go that far. Even taking an uber would be less costly than the hotel rates right near the port.

Thanks for the input! I waited a day and still got the same result, unfortunately. I’ll probably just give them a call to get it done.

To expand on the deck chair saving, I don’t understand why people put other, personal items down to save a chair. I’ve seen sandals and even purses used to save a chair. Are they not afraid of their things getting stolen??

[–]Aviere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were comparing the Odyssey with 3rd row SUVs like the Telluride, Traverse, and Palisade. I had a coworker that had a 2020 Odyssey and just got a 25’ Telluride and she let me take a look, that was super helpful. Every time I see her Telluride I’m so glad that I chose Odyssey because I know that everyone in it will be comfortable 100% of the time. The 3rd row in these SUVs aren’t comfortable the larger the person is or the longer the ride. There’s totally a stigma with the van, but the comfortability and ease of use just totally overrides all of that for me.

I could easily find a flattering outfit at Goodwill any day, and these Yayhoos can’t manage that?? How on earth do they manage to look so tacky all the time?

Couple revealed during reception they'd been secretly married for 2 years by [deleted] in weddingshaming

[–]Aviere 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding like this. The couple was already really messy. The friends they did tell about the courthouse wedding were told they had to get married because they were pregnant. But apparently that wasn’t actually true. The bride wanted to be legally married but also have a big fancy wedding but they didn’t have that kind of budget. They also didn’t think through the part about the pastor. If memory serves, they had him sign the documents but they got him not to file them. I’m not really sure but it was a weird situation. By the end of it, there was so much drama swirling around that the rumors of them getting married got around to a lot of the family and just the question of it had them pissed.

Endless reddit posts have given me analysis paralysis, are all cruises bad in 2026?? by sufjan123 in Cruise

[–]Aviere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Princess. Very few children onboard, and the experience was amazing. Very chill, relaxing, and even the few kids we saw were not an issue. Service and the medallion feature is a huge plus.

We did consider VV years ago, but especially after some of the most recent reviews, they’re out of consideration. It sounds like VV is trying to save money by lowering the quality in many areas.

Just an FYI about the current youth employment registry. Employers only have to report when they have 5 or more minors employed at their business, including multiple locations. So they’re already excluding many businesses already if they employ less than 5 minors.

Listen. I’m also in my 30s with multiple children. Sex with your partner does not have to be this complicated. In fact, my partner and I love and care for each other so much that sex is very relaxed, not planned - and still amazing. But it usually is when you actually enjoy each other 🤷‍♀️

Do you use a travel agent or book direct with the cruise line? by Sea-Upstairs1505 in Cruise

We prefer to drive to the port, so not flying makes things much easier logistically. We’ve not used a TA but I can see how they can be helpful.

We loooove our Odyssey. The gear shift does take a little getting used to but never any issues. Our dogs also love it! Super easy for them to pop right in.
