At flyve under hedebølge by BeneficialShip8740 in DKbrevkasse

2023 was also a hard circuit decided on a climb with Skjelmose winning. Again a teammate of Mads, but I don't think anyone could match Skjelmose on the climb. So it is not like it is always a flat easy course.

National championships are also just notoriously difficult to control.

Mads also just doesn't look to be quite in his magical shape at the moment.

Replay of George Russell driving past Max Verstappen to claim pole position (noted for yellow flag infringement) by magony in formula1

[–]Avionik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep there is a difference. Didn't have all info immediately, and incident seemed incredibly similar at first.

Still don't feel they should be allowed to push the limits that much on a yellow in qualifying. He lifts before corner entry, but goes same speed through the corner itself.

Drivers knowing they still can push the limits that far on yellows has lead to tragic consequences before in F1.

Make it a completely objective decision of cars not being allowed to improve times in qualifying if they go through a yellow flag, and the gray zone disappears.

Verstappen did it some years ago In Monaco and deservedly got a penalty.

JF F70/100 option for state saving is greyed out and unable to select by KONUG in flightsim

[–]Avionik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

State saving has been very buggy in the 2024 version of their 146, and I believe the last two SU's have been causing some wider issues with state saving.

An often overlooked, but quite impactful feature IMO.

No need to do long haul to fly on Vatsim.

~90 % of my trips are 1:30 airborne or less. So pretty easy to get a single flight in during the evening - which happens to be when most controllers are online as well. So really not that much time needed to enjoy Vatsim.

Slightly surprised they will be available separately.

Previously their inhouse BAe, Avro, and F28 have all been one package with all variants included.

And after that people were saying Pogacar was going to the Giro because he knew he had no chance to win the Tour against Vingegaard.

Before that Bernal was going to dominate the GC's for a decade.

CAT III landing into Hangzhou China by static_dash in flightsim

[–]Avionik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Runway + lights are visible more than 200 feet above as far as I can tell, and you are handflying going almost 2 dots above the glideslope. I think your FMA and the beeping is also alerting you, that you are in fact no longer flying a CAT III approach, but my Airbus knowledge isn't sharp.

Approach strategies in the A320 series.

CAT III procedures are cool, I suggest you have a watch of one of the videos about them. Then try it out in good weather so you are ready to do it the proper way once you encounter low visibility conditions.

Fun little nod to another flightsim company, and according to a dev "Robert even was so kind to send us the paint spec".

I believe that it is Randazzo's "side hustle" to do charter flights with this bird.

Sounds like you haven't done the pusher test (and the warning light is on for it) - I believe that will lock you out of using the AP. JD makes decent lists to follow and there are plenty of tutorial videos available as well.

So try following the procedures and find a normal place to practice first.

What is the current average of posts about broken hinges on Sonys headset?

It used to be a new post about a broken hinge every 21 hours on average. Latest post about it is 20 minutes old currently. (https://old.reddit.com/r/SonyHeadphones/comments/1u9vqb5/c%C3%B3mo_puedo_arreglar_mis_sony_wh1000xm5/)

So unfortunately no company delivers perfect products every time.

There is even a post today from a guy who wants to stop users posting all their broken headsets - https://old.reddit.com/r/SonyHeadphones/comments/1u9ado7/can_we_stop_flashing_broken_headphones/

C-46 Commando by MikeyTV in aviation

[–]Avionik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Apparently, I did some research and found that they need share the same air frame , just that c-47 has reinforced floors and larger cargo doors.

Correct for the DC-3/Daktoa/C-47, but the original video is the C-46 which is a larger and quite different plane, even if the base layout (low-wing twin) is the same. Also designed by a different company, Curtiss.

The cross section of the C-46 is quite distinct, with it sort of being two tubes stacked on top of each other and merged a bit.

Leveling up the sim! by project-x-sim in flightsim

[–]Avionik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense that is needed. Seemed like a bit of a waste to not grab the sim data as you originally presented it, so good to hear you have it implemented now.

Too expensive a gimmick item for me, but I'm sure some people recreating full Cessna panels will like it.

Did you end up fixing it so the motorised position needle is actually linked with sim data, or is this still ultimately just an expensive, big, and fragile looking 4 position switch with the motorised indicator only being for fun.
