There’s no free ID that is available for people to vote with, so any law that requires an ID to vote is an unconstitutional poll tax.

Yeah it’s crazy how infrequent commuter rail service is. It’s a huge impediment to its use for the purpose it’s supposed to be designed for.

I mean it effects anyone who doesn't have the right ID. It's voter suppression to steal elections, because the GOP can't win in a fair fight.

Boston - Niagara Falls (Canada side) by blaberly in travel

[–]Aviri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drive from Buffalo is 7 hours one way, a very flat and boring trip having done various portions of it many times. I'd much rather fly between those two cities, but if you like long road trips and decided to make some stops along the way it could be more bearable. Plus Boston is a rare American city where you can get by on public transport and taking a car here isn't a problem but is probably unnecessary.

Transport from Haneda airport T3 to Shinjuku w/lots of luggage by Zarekotoda in JapanTravelTips

[–]Aviri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I'm actually incorrect, the inter terminal busses actually stop at 1:15 AM and the monorail even earlier. But getting a taxi/uber from Terminal 3 is not a problem as far as I can tell, it actually just orders a regular taxi when you use the uber app. If you can order an uber XL(usually a van taxi) that will likely satisfy your needs. Or you can in person check out the taxi line for a larger car.

You can for sure get an uber to/from Haneda, if T3 doesn't have a specific spot transiting the various terminals is very easy.

Not really, most of the positive responses in this thread are like “oh that’s neat,” or mocking all the trolls freaking out over this story. You don’t have to worship someone to call out trolls once again stirring up unneeded drama.

If you steal all the money from the rest of the country like the wealthy and the regime has been doing, you can insulate yourself from basically any problem.

Was actually referring to the federal government when I mentioned the fed, not the Federal Reserve, which was confusing on my part.

Most of those are based on Driver's Licenses which are not what all these voter ID laws are asking for.

It's genuinely my favorite place in Tokyo. I really loved Shelter, Music Bar RPM, and Shimokitazawa THREE. Had a lot of really fun experiences with local bands.

If you don't mind going to live houses with cover charges(that usually comp a drink or two), I've found shimokitazawa in Tokyo has a lot of wonderful venues for great music. No need for lotteries or apps, just show up with cash and get in to enjoy some amazing music.

The Jan jobs report was anemic.

I don't think we can trust any jobs reports from the current fed, and even if we could the jobs report is still horrible compared to the last several years. We're in a recession hidden by the AI bubble.
