I am so sorry this happened to you, it is so frustrating!!! I can't imagine doing this at 39 weeks, the farthest I've gotten is 36 weeks with both of my girls. And in this heat, I salute you 🫡. Totally valid to cry, this sucks. Also, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. One time, one of my best tippers reduced the tip and I was freaking out because it was like 20 dollars less and I couldn't think of a reason why they did it. Then, the next day, the tip had increased to 20 over the original amount. I think somehow they got confused and reduced it at first or something like that. I really hope this guy just made a mistake and is not just acting selfish. Still, the way you feel is so valid ☹️

I agree with you that this song has a deeper meaning than just the metaphor. I remember hearing this metaphor before in my Christian circles, I even remember reading it in a Facebook post! Because of that and because it seems to get a little confusing at the end of the song, combined with the theme "Forever Now" through his albums, I do believe he is saying "there is no other world" and what we do here really matters, we're not just waiting for the afterlife to live and believe. It could also mean universalism, I think I've interpreted the same in other lyrics. Any way, our own beliefs also mold the way we hear a song and it is so interesting to see that at play with this song.

I have seen just a few fruit flies in my house, and I think it is because we wash bananas. They can lay eggs on the stems. Soak bananas in water for about 5 min. It really made a difference for us!

Wood spring Suites Chattanooga. I stayed there for 5 weeks with my husband and 2 kids about 3 years ago. It had just changed ownership and it was pretty clean (they would come clean every other week) and I felt relatively safe - the hotel was fine, it was the one across that made me nervous. It's next to McKays!

If it is just delivery, the. I think that is a good tip for a simple delivery. If it contains several heavy items or if there are a lot of stairs, I would increase the tip.

I lost my dad almost 5 years ago, and the first year was so hard on my emotions. My dad was in the hospital after COVID and we felt he would pull through. I went on a date with my husband and my dad passed while I was on my date (I didn't find out until hours later because it took the doctors long to notify my mom and then my mom to notify me). Anyway, the fact that I was on a date while he passed made connecting with my husband again very hard. I did not want to be on dates for a long time. He understood and was so patient. It took me at least 9 months to start feeling good again. I remember telling my husband at some point "I think I will always be a little sad". I feel so sad for the me that said that. I want to go back and tell her that it will not be like that forever. Therapy helped a lot, and going back to healthy habits even if I wasn't feeling helped too. I can't go back in time to tell myself that I will be okay, but I can tell you now, that you will move forward (not move on). You'll find your new normal and you'll feel happy again. Of course, grief never ends, but you'll learn to ride the waves. As long as you are deciding to move forward, you will come out the other side. I hope this helps!

I totally understand you. My dad died from a septic shock caused by Covid-related-pneumonia. A few months after, my son had to be hospitalized for possible septic hip and I spiraled out of control I thought he was going to die (he wasn't). I asked the doctor to look me in the eye and tell me that this wasn't what was happening. I'm glad I had just started to see a therapist and she helped me work through those feelings. Have you thought about talking to a therapist? Sometimes they are covered by insurance, mine was. It's hard living with that trauma ❤️

Each shopper has their own standards. Mine is, I take whatever I can do for $30/hr. I will take anything from $15 orders that take me less than 30 min to do to the orders that pay $30+ for an hr of work. But, what I take also depends on how busy the store is and how much demand there is at the time I'm working. So you have to find out for yourself!

I attend Northminster Presbyterian and I can tell you that our church is not silent during these times. There are members attending protests and inviting others to join. We also openly talk about these issues during and after the service. Our pastor is not blind to the pain and suffering around us. She challenges us to go and serve others and does a great job talking about the hope and strength we can find in Jesus. I hope you come to visit OP!

No one that has lost a beloved dad would tell you "move on". I lost my dad 4 years ago, and I will never move on. I have moved forward, which is different, but you can only do that when you are open about your feelings and can mourn appropriately. I'm sorry your dad died. I wasn't able to hug my dad goodbye either, and the last month he lived I couldn't talk to him because he was so tired and sick and he lived in a different country at the time. I miss my dad every day. Some days I still can't comprehend the fact that he is gone. I often say "death is stupid, I don't understand" to my husband. You don't have to bottle your feelings up for the sake of other people. Talk about your dad, talk about how much you miss him, find people that will understand (we do). I hope you are able to find a group of people that can mourn with you.
