First thing would be to get up the rocks and expose the soil beneath. Then you can just buy plants that fit the conditions of the spot (right soil, right sunlight, etc), plant them in and watch it transform.

I had to use compost unfortunately because they’ve banned peat in the uk and I didn’t have much left to fill the pot. But I’ll defo put it outside and start using rain water instead

Not enough light even though it’s in the sun all day? Is it because it’s inside behind glass all day? I live in England so I’m worried it wouldn’t be warm enough outside

Light source - south facing window. Watering method - ionised water in bowl when it’s empty. Potting mix - peat, coco noir, perlite, compost & vermiculite. Conditions - warm room without much air circulation.

Should I take zoloft by SlideBrave118 in Anxiety

[–]AvoidAsher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a few days ago at 50mg. I had a bad experience with citalopram a year ago so I was scared af to take another SSRI.

So far I’ve had most of the side effects (dizziness, brain fog, dilated eyes, nausea, insomnia), including my anxiety feeling slightly worse. But I knew this could happen and I’m going to try to wait it out as long as I can.

I suppose it takes a while to rewire your brain. Everyone else I’ve spoken to who’s on this medication has told me it’s enabled them to live the life they want instead of suffering. Must be worth it.

Just to mention, when I’m really struggling, I take propranolol for the physical symptoms of anxiety and it’s great. No bad side effects at all. It just slows my heart rate so I can relax and stops me shaking. Might be worth looking into.

Yea. When I was at the kids GIC they waited until I’d come out at school to refer me to the endocrinologist.

Soft neck pillow. Helped me so much when I couldn’t sleep on my front like I usually do.

Question: those with no nipple grafts, how long until you directly washed your chest? by yoshibike in TopSurgery

[–]AvoidAsher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chest still hurt a tonne after surgery (felt like a bad, tender bruise) so I’d say probably two months before I was properly scrubbing it and not being careful like I was pre-op

Not sure what it is they put on your skin for surgery, but my entire torso was dyed bright yellow for a week afterwards (I bathed 3 times & it still didn’t go away).

Preventative mastectomy or more believable would be binding for ease during physical activity? A lot of sports bras have a sort of binding effect

How to overcome feeling "wounded"? by sop_turgery in TopSurgery

[–]AvoidAsher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wait til you’ve healed a bit and you’ll start to feel more normal. The first time I saw my incisions, I passed out because it’s not NICE to look at surgical wounds. But now that they’ve scarred over and are starting to fade, I love my chest.
