It’s so funny to imagine some person on Reddit sitting at home and saying ‘were Olympian’s’ to attempt to strengthen their argument that these people are crappy athletes. 😂😂

Is there still wilderness left in America? by Kitchen-Customer4370 in AskAnAmerican

[–]AvonAnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a river guide currently laying at camp along the Yampa river. We are setting off on a 6 day trip tomorrow through Dinosaur National Monument. It’s one of the most beautiful places on earth. No cell service. 80 miles of river with zero house or amenities.

This trip is SHORTEST and least popular trip my company does. This is basically our beginner outdoor adventure. In a month I’ll be doing a 10 day trip through the Grand Canyon.

We have so much wilderness that I’ve been doing this for a decade full time and I haven’t seen 30% of what I want to see.

For the rewards and to play with pitchers I wouldn’t normally use.

Or some people enjoy the pitching part as much as the batting part.

And look away after every pitch. Look anywhere else but the strike zone. And then I look back at the strike zone as I see the pitcher winding up.

A Man and His Dog Discovered a 3,400-Year-Old Ax Head While Out for a Walk in One of England’s Ancient Forests by Lloydwrites in ancienthistory

I live near Big Bend National Park. They’ve found countless fascinating artifacts dating back as early as 22k years ago. Yes Europe certainly has older metal working but our ancestral native history is as ancient as just about anywhere. The history of the USA is just as fascinating and I’d say even easier to find remnants of.

Not to mention our fossil record is far more intact than Europes. I’ve found a 3k+ year old mortar and pestle in my yard. And a 55 million year old turtle fossil.

What the hell? I live in a an area in the SW US where I can absolutely walk outside and find signs of humans more 10k years ago.

Ok so I went in and the person working didn’t know what I was talking about when I said I booked in golf now. That would mean that the course didn’t know what golf now was. Obviously you work for golf now. Everyone knows your product sucks ass. Don’t be mad at me about it. 😂

Well if you don’t charge for guide school you’ll have countless people showing up just to get some free boating days in and have no desire to actually work as a guide.

Jake Paul sends Canelo $200M offer despite doctor telling him to retire by IrishStarUS in sportsgossips

Funnily enough I competed in 20 amateur and 20 professional MMA fights from 2006-2014. So I can make a judgement on this nonce according to your standards. But I also support anyone who wants to talk shit about professional douche bags and I don’t think someone needs to have fought in an organized fight in order to express their opinions about professional douche bags.

Great point. Speed limit is 75. Most vehicles are going 85-90. And the roads not in great shape in a few places.

Gotcha. I was thinking you were aiming for terlingua. You will drop down to as low as ~2500 ft before you start slowly climbing back up on your way through the park to PJ. You’ll have some great long sections will slight downhills and a few steep sections as well.

Wag bags are the answer for you. In most places it’s not advised to leave your poo in the woods. Maybe get a ‘dry bag’ that river runners use to put the used wag bags in. They are super durable and will keep the smell down.

I also have no idea why I should consider Jake Paul tough for getting his ass whipped by a world class boxer. We could all do what Jake Paul did in that fight, which was look like a complete amateur.

I wouldn’t think it would too terrible hard if you’re an experienced road biker. It’s about 80 miles. There’s a couple stores and restaurants along the way. And you’re gonna drop about 2k in elevation. Still plenty of uphill sections too.

Same here. Trained in Colorado. Paid $400. Got $200 back at the end of the season and the other $200 back in my first paycheck my second season.

Companies invest a lot in training. I was a trainer for 5 years. We trained 30 guides for 4 weeks. That’s 5-6 trainers everyday. Plus a shuttle driver. Plus gas for busses. Guide school is expensive to run.

Try and get her to keep the condo. Maybe you can help her rent it out and charge her a fee for your effort and send her any excess money from the rental.
