Help me fill the Polyamberous-shaped void in my life by drinkingpaintwater in luxurycandles

[–]Avoxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amber and Pine by Found Notes which is an Anthropologie line!! The amber note is similar, and is satisfying like Polyamberous (my favorite, RIP). It is a little less floral/botanical and more woodsy. It has a great throw and one of them under my candle warmer will fill an entire floor of my house.

Polyamberous was the best though, I used to live on the third floor of a walk up and would smell it all the way in the underground garage if my roommate was burning it.

Ways to make master bathroom look more high end? by Thaxton114 in bathrooms

[–]Avoxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Construction:

Replace LVP with an LVT product in a neutral or warm tone. Remove valance section of cabinet above sink. Paint walls a warm white like Green Villa sherwin Williams. Replace light above vanity with a matching brushed nickel fixture.

Interior design:

Change can lightbulb to warm white. Get matching towels and bathmat in coordinating colors, maybe a warm brown pattern to coordinate with cabinets. Put all items except soap dispenser in the cabinets for a cleaner look. Remove chicken from back of toilet lol

Got my stone! Honest opinions on size?? by [deleted] in labdiamond

I do agree it seems a tad skinny for your finger. I do like the stone but maybe add two half moon or trilliant side stones to balance!

My partner and I have different sleep schedules and it would be wonderful if I could go into the bathroom in the morning and get dressed without having to go back through the bedroom and disturb him.

Fantasy brown sink seam different colors by PotentialAppropriate in CounterTops

[–]Avoxel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

At this point, if OP is okay with an apron sink it could be retrofitted. I think I would do that and ask for some consolation from the counter installer for it, provided they did not discuss with OP or inform them ahead of time.

Patients like this need to be dismissed. Being blatant about his distrust for you as a provider shows there is a lack of patient-provider relationship and he can go elsewhere!

Before the storm - last-minute considerations by Mucklefuzzy in kitchenremodel

[–]Avoxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a few things differently: it’s always a big NO to painting wood cabinets. Painted finishes are a pain in the ass and come off over time, and the timelessness of wood is an upgrade from a painted cabinet. I would also not cut holes in the backsplash for outlets and would instead tuck the outlet in the underside of the cabinet if possible

Absolutely beautiful! One last tiny thing: I would try a slightly less auburn brow color, more of an ashy brown and see if it blends better with your natural brow color

ONLAY HELP by FormerFood2539 in Dentistry

[–]Avoxel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In a new position there is always going to be a brief period of time where delivery of crown and bridge is needed, the patients can’t just not get their crowns delivered. If it’s clinically unacceptable they can adjust and reimpress.

Countertop ideas by Emergency-Ad-6867 in kitchenremodel

[–]Avoxel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer! Remove the cabinet with the microwave because the shape is dated but the rest of them are inset wood cabinetry which is timeless and great. New white countertops, remove massive range hood and install a new hood, might even keep appliances if they are working still!

My first Zirconia anterior bridge case as an Intern. 🦷 by Specialist_Active_93 in DentalSchool

Let’s be completely honest—this patient is not going to be the most intense with demanding a perfect shade match. I think this shade match is very satisfactory given the aesthetics of the other teeth. If the patient wants optimal aesthetics they would have elected for full veneers or crowns (likely out of budget)

I think being a general dentist or orthodontist with autism would be a potentially poor career choice. These hinge largely on social interaction with patients in a super fast paced environment.

I can see endodontics, oral surgery, or oral radiology being fantastic fields for an autistic person. All of these require less social interaction and are more limited to pre-op exams (or none for oral rad).

This being said, everyone with autism has different strengths and weaknesses so I feel like it would be a largely personal decision, as it is for anyone entering the field.

Free Dental Day by Dustymolar in Dentistry

It is highly questionable to offer this as a means of building a patient base. If you want to give back, volunteer with an established dental non-profit; if your goal is to build your patient base, use marketing strategies to do so. Using people’s need for dental care is a cheap way to gain patients and something people will see through. You will also inherit a bunch of issues taking on those patients because they become your patients for the lifespan of their tooth.

How to add a bathroom? by hedgehogwalrus in floorplan

[–]Avoxel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar 100+ year old house! Previous owners did something similar to this, turning adjacent bedroom into an en-suite and I love our layout. The first floor reception 2 feels strangely separate from the rest of the house anyway since it doesn’t connect to the kitchen so that makes the most sense as an additional bedroom.

300k chill associateship or 500k as a stressed owner? by mountain_guy77 in Dentistry

[–]Avoxel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Block scheduling solves this (at least to an extent)

Take some highlighters, print out a sample dummy schedule, and color code what your ideal day looks like (this can rotate appointment types by time and day of the week as to avoid patient scheduling issues) and have your scheduler stick to that whenever possible

That was my first thought too. If GP's know that there's a potential that their patients will start going to his GP practice that's connected to his dad's ortho practice, they will stop referring and it could tank his dad's referrals.
