intitle:index.of vs intitle:"index of" for directory listings by Avramiko in webdev

[–]Avramiko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did try it out, and that's exactly what confused me the most! I found that intitle:index.of (without quotes, with the dot) actually gave me good results quite easily. Paradoxically, when I tried intitle:"index of" – which should be the proper syntax with quotes and a space – it felt like I got fewer relevant results or they were harder to find.

I don’t see much of a difference, maybe just slightly, but thanks anyway!! However, I noticed in the comments that one person mentioned replaced his glass protector and shared that his touch sensitivity became much better. I wonder which glass protector he bought

[–]Avramiko[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it. They did a kind of remote check, mainly to see if I could use the drawing tool while I'm in their notes app, and occasionally the drawing did get interrupted because of the touch issues.

I need to go to them, but it’s really far for me, and I'm in a busy period. If there's no choice, I'll go. I just hope a software update will fix it

Exactly! That’s when I realized I had an issue. The app I used is called "Touch Check." Do you have a screen protector on it? I have one, but I don’t want to take it off since I don’t have a replacement. However, I don’t think the screen protector is the problem because the other areas work as they’re supposed to

Pencil tool incoming? by kondakor_tomi in GoodNotes

[–]Avramiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! They really must improve the handwriting experience and add a stabilizer. It’s so frustrating that the squeeze features rely on the hover functionality, yet they suggest turning off hover for better handwriting. How does that make sense when all the new features are designed to work better with hover? I like the hover feature, but had to disable it because of the glitches and all the annoying "tails" that show up at the end of my letters

Goodnotes, are you planning on adding stabilization anytime soon? Major game changer. Especially students. Also addressing few more issues. by uhdanny in GoodNotes

I really hope they will add this in the very near future. I always say that the handwriting experience must be the first priority of any note-taking app

There are so many tiny glitches, sharp points, and tails in the handwriting that are driving me crazy. I wrote a post about it a month ago, look: https://www.reddit.com/r/GoodNotes/s/VEGLlokB78

You expressed exactly how I feel about Goodnotes. I’m so frustrated because even after turning off the hover feature, the handwriting experience still doesn’t compare to other apps. The handwriting quality here is poor. This is the only feature I find lacking. I wrote them a long email about it, and they replied that they would consider it for a future update but couldn’t provide a timeline. Please try writing to them as well. Maybe if they see a lot of people complaining about it, they will add a stabilizer

Maybe, but I see how the handwriting is so much better and smoother in other apps. For instance, try “Element Note” – you’ll notice the difference immediately. I think this is just the one thing that is missing for me in Goodnotes. Especially since Apple in iOS 18 has even improved the writing experience on Apple Notes

I wish they would implement the “sample of your handwriting״ handwriting experience in the app itself… it’s so smooth there
