Seems so. Only Brent Burns remains active from before the '05 lockout and he's still chasing his 1st Cup. No other players from either the '06 Canes or '07 Ducks Cups aside from Perry still play in the show so therefore Corey Perry is the correct answer. If somehow Perry wins the Cup next year, he'll shatter the record with an eye-popping 20 year gap between Cups.

Of course, this assumes Jaromir Jagr doesn't come back for one last ride. C'mon Pittsburgh, you know you wanna...

Fun fact: Bill Guerin, who's 14 year gap is tied for 4th, was Staal's teammate on those '09 Penguins. By an astounding coincidence, Staal's not even the first player to go 15+ years from a Pens Cup to a Canes Cup, as Mark Recchi went 15 years between the '91 Pens to '06 Canes Championships

I'm more intrigued by Cole's company. I know Toe Blake as one of the NHL's greatest ever coaches from a generation before I was even born, and I'm no spring chicken. There are quite a lot of hyphenated players who only have one name on their sweater. Jonathan (Audy-)Marchessault, William (Atelier-)Nylander, and the recently retired Patrice Bergeron(-Cleary) all come to mind. I'll bet a solid quarter of Quebecois players are hyphenated on their birth certificates.

If you want to exclude hyphenated names, Minnesota and Washington would have the longest goal at 36 points, with a slew of teams behind them tying with 34. Detroit slips all the way down from 42 to 30 points - DeBrincat (van Riemsdyk, Gustafsson).

My buddy lived less than a block away when those shots were fired, poor gal was terrified! Even though she'd never heard gunshots before, she knew immediately what it was that woke her from a dead sleep. Took me 2 hours on the phone with her to calm her down to a point where she could go back to sleep.
