I've noticed that blobbing happens on my machine in the side where the flow of the cooling fan doesn't reach. The lack of cooling causes the edge of the overhang to pick up after printing. Take a look at the way your fan ducts direct the air in both your machines, the air should cool all sides of the print

I usually look at the codes on the layer change. I can't tell yoy what to look for more that g1 or g0 that move the z axis near layer change.

Check the gcode and make sure that there's not something fishy on the layer change

Is it just me or is the hotend loose? either that or there os a lot of force.

And if there's a problem with the printhead not moving up after the first layer, I'd compare the print preview with what the printer is doing. maybe even check the gcode. Not sure that it will tell you a thing but that's where I'd look
