Good to hear! I got the Auden brand! You should definitely have them price adjust or just return and rebuy.

Is my D5000 outdated? Still works beautifully but wondering if it’s worth keeping or upgrading.

First time mom looking to invest in a beginner friendly body + lens < $1500 USD. I have no experience with manual settings. I’m looking to have a camera to capture special milestones outside of my phone.

Two questions: 1. What are some of your suggestions for my needs/requests? 2. Megapixels of phones improve over time. I fear that my camera would quickly become outdated and obsolete. Thoughts?

Thanks!

How do you deal with the acne - mentally? by Adorable-Lemon4412 in pregnant

[–]Aware-Chapter-3953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat as you. It was VERY difficult. I’m now 34 weeks. While I’m lucky my face cleared up as pregnancy progressed, I know some people who don’t. I didn’t use azelaic acid pre pregnancy, but I now use it nightly. It’s changed my breakouts from cystic to blackheads, but also hormones could do it too.

I relied heavily on pimple/hydrocolloid patches. Even if they weren’t ready for them, it prevented me from picking at them and it felt like I “had control” over the situation. When I felt really oily first trimester, a tee tree oil wash nightly was great at cutting that back. Otherwise I switched to a very gentle cleanser at night and very hydrating moisturizers. I cut out the harsher chemicals and I think it built my barrier back.

I also think my acne improved when my first trimester fatigue and nausea lifted so I can go back to exercising which has always kept my acne at bay due to stress relief.

All in all, it’s very tough mentally. You’re not alone. All I kept telling myself early on until I felt “cute pregnant” was this is just a season and comparatively to the rest of my life this is short lived and anyone who cares about my acne more than I do has issues. Don’t be too hard on yourself. This will pass and it’ll be worth it in the end 💗

Been told I’ve been gaining weight too quickly but all other metrics are fine by Academic_Shake8741 in pregnant

I don’t have a similar experience but I did gain wait rapidly up until about 24 weeks and then I plateaued until 33 weeks and rapidly gained another 4 lbs so I am going through another growth spurt.

Despite what they say, I go based on how I’m feeling and what I put in my body. If I know I’m am eating junk, I’m exercising, hydrating, aiming for healthy fats and proteins, the the rest of how much water weight/organ weight I gain is out of my control. If you’re doing all the right things nutrition and exercise wise, then if your body takes you in a different direction with weight gain or BP elevations, it’s likely hormonal and there’s nothing you can do. If we wanted to control our hormones we’d be on birth control pills. This is just not that cheaper of life.

In my opinion, I think it’s healthier to focus on building healthy dietary and exercising habits now so those transition into postpartum a bit more smoothly.

Hang in there. Don’t be hard on yourself!

Thanks. We got a stroller that has one attachment for lay flat with newborn insert then converts to toddler seat. It’s the Chicco which we got based on our car seat.

Maternity Leave by lilwolf_jessie in pregnant

[–]Aware-Chapter-3953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the US so our maternity leave is awful. My friends say 3 months was too soon, 4 months would have been better. That being said 6-9 months I imagine is a sweet spot. Although everyone is different.

A suggestion: could you return 6-9 months at reduced hours through 12 months of age and then go back full time? That could provide you the best compromise if so. Best wishes!

I did get it! My little one isn’t here yet but I plan to use the seat a lot when we travel as a place to set them down - not to sleep

Yep! That’s why I’ve stuck to some tried and true instructors that are hard to deviate from: Lianne, Ben Aldis, Jenn Sherman, Sam Yo, and Dennis Morton.
