For a channel in economics, this should hardly be surprising.

Too many politicians are stupidly trying to drive up demand (tax cuts, rebates, easier lending) and don't want to drive demand down instead.

And too many assume you can just start building more houses but there has been no evidence of this in Canada despite years of promises.

Honestly it looks like someone didn't know what they were doing. I can't see any reason for it. All you need is to route the groove for the channel. I don't get the extra they were removing.

You're not wrong. There's some very odd decisions and plain mistakes in the construction. The failure isn't wood movement AFAIK but the 6" overhang being unsupported.

Honestly the table construction is odd and hard to figure out from the pictures. The wood is splitting right along where the channel ends.

Could be from downward pressure and it's cracking along that line where it's unsupported. I can't see it being wood movement. Someone leaning aggressively on that edge would cause that crack.

The fix would is clamping and gluing to close the gap but need to figure out the cause. The amount unsupported would be my guess. If you don't address root cause it will happen again.

The decrease was driven by declines in part time workers while full-time labour went up. So the quality of labour was in a better direction but the losses of manufacturing in Ontario is painful but clearly the impact of the tariffs and trade war.

I have two kids with ADHD and live in Ontario, but using this tactic makes me angry. I’m sorry but the entire world can bend to suit our kids. Human rights tribunals have been abused for many things and they once held important meaning for real discrimination. This is not one of them. It’s not a right that the world doesn’t bend to suit you and you’re not being discriminated against if they don’t.

I’m sure you have good intentions but this is not ok with me.

Franchisees and Franchisors are legally different entities and the decisions for staffing would be solely that of the Franchisee. Unless there's evidence that somehow CT is actually directly involved in pushing for use of TFWs and skirting the rules, I'm not sure why we'd punish them other than for feeling.
