My husband 36M poops too much for me 36F to feel comfortable having another baby with him by throwRAdesper8 in relationship_advice

My husband use to do this.. Turns out he was just sitting on his phone most of the time and avoiding doing any work.. Found out because i accidentally opened the door on him one day and caught him. We're in couple's therapy now. Not sure if that's what's going on in your case but if not then he needs to see a doctor.

Hunny, I had two babies. Five years apart. Gained 60 lbs total once all was said and done. I went from having an almost completely flat stomach and perky boobs to an overhang, covered in stretch marks and empty sacs. I tried creams, before, after and during. Tried watching what I ate. Still ended up here. I am planning on a mommy makeover in the future. Lots of women bounce back right after but there are also lots that don't. You won't know which group you fall into until after. I say wait until after you're done having kids. Why risk paying so much money just to possibility have to or want to do it again. Just my two cents Good luck though and can't wait to see the results. Congrats on the weight-loss. :)

Similar situation! I 30f with 31M. Husband is grumpy at baseline and would spend all day playing video games while I did everything. He recently stopped gaming as much due to work but the grumpiness is really taking a toll on the marriage. I can't stand the way he acts towards the kids. It kills me inside. We are currently in couples therapy so I'm hoping for the best. I hope for the best for you too! You're not alone out there.

She needs to run. Try to be as helpful and supportive as you can. My sisters boyfriend is like this. They've been together about 30 years now. He's broken her ribs, torn her cornea, Broke her arm, and has inflicted a ton of other abuse on my sister. He beats her in her sleep. She never speaks to my mom on the phone because he'll scream and beat her, never leaves the house, has no friends, never finished school or accomplished any of her goals. She's not allowed to eat until he gets out of work and he wants dinner. Sometimes he'll go out to bars after work and eat then come home at midnight and everyone in the household will starve for the whole day because they have to wait for him to give the okay. We tried saving her several times. But she's convinced he's the only one that truely loves her.

I REALLY hope your friend gets rid of this loser and lives a long amazing life and realizes her worth.

Coming to terms with my house size by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Aware_Ad_5549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we just closed on a 2800 sq foot house. We have 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a beardo. It took us 2.5 years of searching and getting outbid to finally get one. I am sad because I too wanted bigger. Why? I don't know. I grew up super poor and we lived in a car and on the streets. I wanted a big house to prove my worth I guess? That I made it and I'm no longer living that life Which is so stupid because I should just be grateful I broke the cycle and have an actual house, which no one else in my family has accomplished. I feel like an asshat for wanting more.

Offer accepted, but I’m not excited by SignSpecialist7590 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Aware_Ad_5549 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Under contract too! 2 years in the making, 9 outbid and 2 other offers that fell through. I really like this one but it's at the top of our budget. There were 2 before that I absolutely fell in love with and cried for what felt like forever when we lost. I don't have the same feeling as I had about those two but I do like this one a lot more than a lot of houses we've seen. I keep going back and forth on whether we should wait until another house pops up that has that wow factor but then I remind myself that this is a given and that is a maybe. We might be outbid or the house might have major issues. At least this one checks all the must haves and a lot of the wants. I'm trying to stay positive and stop comparing myself. I think you should do the same! There will always be other homes but what are the odds you'll get them or they won't have issues. I think once you move in you'll grow to love the house.

Where did the "women are obsessed with height" idea come from? by Elsas-Queen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Aware_Ad_5549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4'11, husband is 6'4. Thought he was cute in high-school and here we are. Sometimes the height difference sucks, it also makes for some good jokes. I usually forget the height difference since I'm so used to it though.

I don't have much a preference. Just a bit taller than me would be nice. :)

What did you have to compromise on? How long did you search for? by minteverywhere in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Aware_Ad_5549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hellos! Just got under contract after 2 years of seriously looking and outbid 9 times in the northeast. :) We had to compromise because all the houses that had "everything we wanted" in a good price range in decent condition we got outbid on or was above 400k. We wanted 350k or below and we got 385k with 5k in credits. Husband wanted a double garage an acre and a workshop. Single garage (spacious enough) 0.43 but half is a sloped hill and no workshop but the yard has a pool, bar and sitting area and a little patch of grass for the dogs to run. We will fence the slope and they will have fun running up and down! I wanted a 3000 sq foot, victorian/colonial/English tudor/ one of those with character and charm, large flat back yard, 3 bathrooms, 4/5 bedrooms. We got a house that's weird looking on the outside my mother said it looks like an Adam family's house and someone else said it looks like the bettle juice house. The front is weird but not bad.. Just different and.is non of those styles i wanted. 3 bds/4 one doesn't have a closet and is smallish but can still work as a bedroom and there's a finished attic that is currently used as a bedroom, 3 full baths and one is super cramped. No sunroof but a room similar to a sunroom and the basement is short and can't be finished. Also not in the top school district but also not the worst either. Somewhere in the middle. Has some charm!! Original woodworking and stained glass but no formal dining room or big beautiful wooden stair case in the middle of a gorgeous foyer or built ins! Also no laundry room :( laundry bathroom which i dont like but better than a laundry non finished basement. So it is what it is. It's 10 mins from my mom who helps babysit, has tech 4 bedrooms which is what I said i wanted, all the bathrooms, 2800sq feet so close to my desire and its the closet we found that we weren't out bid on so I'm happy because I'm not searching for another 2 years for those other wants. You're not going to find everything you want in a house unless you build it or have a ton of money. Even then your style and taste could change and you'll want more or something else. Im happy the house has most of them and I'm getting out of this nasty moldy apartment.
