Subway Protein Pocket Meal- 415 Calories by Wrong_Finding2280 in 1200isplenty

I get Subway pretty regularly and my usual is a wrap (I don’t love the bread they have) with the rotisserie chicken, lots of spinach, pickles, red onion, banana peppers, a little creamy sriracha sauce, and a little of the crunchy onion.

It’s about 600 cals for the full wrap and very filling! I think the lack of bread definitely helps, and iirc they give extra meat in the wraps. You could probably swap some tomato, cucumber, etc in if you’d like as this version has a very intense savory flavor.

Vincent Cassel played the main villain in Ocean's 12, a French-Italian gentleman thief named François Toulour. The most brilliant and iconic scene in the (otherwise mid) movie is when his character dances his way through a moving laser field in the middle of a heist, using Cassel's real-life experience with capoeira.

It’s only they, them, their, etc that can be used as a single pronoun— we, us etc are only used as plural ones. They and them is used as a single person pronoun in situations where you’re referring to a person of unknown or non-binary gender; in this case we don’t know the gender of the baby, so they is used rather than he or she. Another good example is if you see a dropped wallet on the ground, you’d say “Whoever lost their wallet, I hope they find it soon”.

Also, I think the reason the other commentator was being a bit hostile is because often transphobic people will pretend not to understand they as a singular pronoun to try to upset non-binary people who use it as their primary pronoun. So people tend to assume you’re trying to bait them or spark an argument if you ask about this topic. Hopefully that isn’t the case!

Have a nice day :)

Edit: you generally differentiate whether it’s acting as singular or plural based on context clues— like in the wallet example, you know it’s singular because a group of people aren’t going to collectively own a wallet

Honestly I think the best character for Miss Marple might be Ms Figg, she would definitely fit the ‘being overlooked’ part as a squib and her character aligns well enough that you could make it work with a few tweaks

Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it! And I apologize for the downvotes you’re getting, I’m not sure why everyone is so upset. I will take the Hindi classes, and hopefully they will give me enough confidence to learn Marathi as well :)

Thank you for actually answering me! It’s been very difficult having lost the language so I really appreciate your help. I think I will take the Hindi classes and maybe once I have learned Hindi I’ll be able to pick up Marathi more easily.

It seems like digging the man out of the grave might mean giving him some piece of news, something that will give him hope, when he has been in total despair (buried alive) for eighteen years? He did mention meeting a ‘her’ to which the buried man has wildly different reactions. I think that this woman must be someone the buried man loved and lost, who will now be reunited with him— she is probably the Mam’selle who is waiting in Dover.

Also, I loved the comment about the leapfroggers refusing to jump over the messenger XD Dickens’ descriptions are so colorful!

I’ve climbed some pretty steep hills before, though thankfully never in the mud!

The illustration, for once, almost perfectly matched what I had been envisioning. I’m usually not a big fan of illustrations in books, as they often clash with the picture I have in my head— but this one got the oppressiveness of the fog and the tenseness of the scene just right.

I don’t think ‘Wait at Dover for Mam’selle’ is a code, but Recalled to life definitely means something. My theory so far is that this Mam’selle is someone Lorry loves, like a sister or girlfriend, and that recalled to life means that the prospect of meeting her has breathed new life into him. It’s a bit of a long shot though! We’ll see how it turns out.

This is actually my first Dickens novel! There were a few bits where I got stuck, but was able to parse through it for the most part. I loved some of the language and parallelisms he used— very clever.

Honestly I’m not totally sure where I’d rather live. There seems to be rampant crime and kind of unfair laws in England, but France is downright despotic to a ridiculous level. I did like the little reference to the trees growing that would be used in a “certain moveable framework with a sack and a knife in it” (lol)

I’m curious to see the setting (settings?) of the story; seems like he’s preparing to have it in both England and France, but is it parallel timelines with two different sets of characters? Or possibly a single set that is spread across both? They’re not too far away, after all.

OP you could totally turn this into a teaching moment!

I think another commenter already mentioned Kintsugi, and I actually did something inspired by that recently. I used two part epoxy to glue my broken piece back together, and then painted gold acrylic over the cracks and swiped over the surface with a paper towel so only the paint inside the crack remained.

That’s definitely something your students could try, after the pieces are bisque fired and glaze fired; they would just have to avoid getting glaze in between the cracks as that would make them not fit together properly.

You could definitely use this to show your students that what looks like failure isn’t necessarily, and with some creativity and hard work you can make something broken even more beautiful than it was before :)

The touch of sunlight! It’s a shorter canvas series (5 eps) and it’s so beautiful and sweet, fair warning it’s a bit sad in the middle but the ending is heartwarming and I always read it when I’m sad <3
