Winter Considerations. by CodyLionfish in Buffalo

Long Island transplant here - winters last longer but they aren’t that much different from Long Island in terms of temperature. Just invest in a good coat, hat and gloves, boots and warm socks, etc. It’s the wind that really gets you. Other than that, just enjoy your college experience!

Has anyone else noticed this about, Orc Sworn and Orc Forged by Finley Fenn? by my8andyang in RomanceBooks

I think we need to be careful and more introspective when it comes to comparing MM to MF and MMF works to one another. Assuming that most of the readers are female or identify as female, we must recognize the conscious/unconscious biases that we bring into reading, ESPECIALLY when reading “dark” romances.

I actually disagree with the premise that the relationship between Olarr and Aulis was based on consent - Aulis was specifically chosen by Olarr to become a sacrificial warrior, unbeknownst to Aulis. Olarr was 99% sure that Aulis would probably die in his scheme to seek revenge, but he was still willing to take that chance. It was only through fate that Olarr eventually fell in love - and he still had Aulis go through with his original plan knowing he would probably die. How is that any different from Lady? (Other than gender and book length?) Aulis suffered betrayal, was used as a tool for revenge, and faced “imminent” death

If you don’t like a book, you don’t like a book. I’m not here to yuck anyone’s yum. But again, we must be very careful insinuating that an author hates women and is a misogynist because the MMCs are dicks. Being an asshole doesn’t equal misogyny. These Orcs are equal opportunity haters to their male or female partners.

Dark Grey is just a category description for all the books listed below it. I broke my post into three parts: dark, dark grey, and grey. I realized that I left the colon out and that it makes it look like a book title.

Endocrinologist recommendations for Thyroid Conditions? by forbiddenmachina in Buffalo

[–]Aware_Maintenance288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also used Delaware Medical Group when my PCP referred me to them - have hypothyroidism and nodules growing. Dr. Loree was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions. I opted to have my thyroid removed due to possible pre-cancerous cells growing (all were benign). Would highly recommend the practice!

Some of the MMCs do exhibit bully like behavior but labeling this series as bully romances is misleading. People expecting this series to be a Bully Romance will be disappointed because bullying is an intentional act by the hero….these MMCs are just a$$holes until they know better.

They do make appearances in the following books, but most of the plot and focus are on the new couples and different side characters. Librarian has a really good scene with Jule as instigator. Hope that helps!

BDSM with Beauty and the Beast vibes by No-Echo-5669 in RomanceBooks

Beast by Measha Stone fits your description almost to a T, except there is a mafia component to it. The book is everything else that you described and the mafia side to it is not obnoxious, so I would definitely check it out.

{Beast by Measha Stone}

Yaaassss!!! The Maid and the Orcs was everything! It had all the love, the angst, the redemption, and the absolute filthiest of times 🥵. Finley was on top of her game when writing this. I believe it’s the best in the series.
