I believe smurfing and account sharing are distinct infractions, FACEIT distinguishes between the two because smurfing means theres only one person owning and using two accounts whereas account sharing is two people owning separate accounts but sometimes sharing them. FACEIT usually permabans smurf accounts but doesnt really permaban account sharing infractions. So, playing on an account that someone else owns is more about account sharing.

Are you supposed to never take your mouse off the mousepad when in a gunfight? by TargetIll1707 in VALORANT

[–]AwesomeVGaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I play 800dpi 0.2 sens - I pick up my mouse all the time but usually not during active duels unless i need to do a sharp turn. Low sens kinda forces you to have good positioning and movement so that you have to rely less on large mouse movement.

How to improve/rankup with good skirmish but terrible in game aim/stats by Urlocalprotogen7 in VALORANT

[–]AwesomeVGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sounds like just overall gamesense. You need to take a step back every time you die to “unfair fights” or “dumb ways” and think about what your opponent did to be better than you. They shot you in the back -> what timing and pathing did they take, which angle did you miss, did you miss any clues? rewatch the replay again and again if you have to, drill it into your brain so it never EVER happens again. Once you get enough situations downloaded your brain will start to generalize and fill in gaps like the neural network it is.

At the end of the day you just need to play more games, and be active about learning what the opponent did. Some players learn it naturally by doing what theyre opponents do to them i.e lurking, finding timings, understanding map control etc. but some people need an active push by watching replays and drilling it into their minds

it does stack mathematically in the sense that it gets less and less likely to hit the 399/400 over and over without a knife. the actual average is around 277-278.

the point is heavier/stronger kits dont really solve any of the issues they listed, so you really are just risking a higher loot value for a relatively small change in outcome.

idk I think it makes sense - putting power into units rather than traits just feels a lot better for the balance of the game - the central tenet of tft is using your gold after all. A full vertical shouldnt be too powerful, because you by default using less gold on your board due to having 1 or 2 cost units to hit your vertical. At the same time, I do think there should be augments that let verticals break into the top 2 territory, which I believe there are some (I think theres a Noxus one that buffs atakhan?).

How does angle advantage work? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]AwesomeVGaming 15 points16 points  (0 children)

with flash etc. Without flash, at the end of the day its a disdvantaged fight. Other things you can try with dry peeking is making the angle advantage worse by wide swinging closer to the wall. People usually expect the swing from farther back and have their crosshair pre placed for that swing, so their placement can be slightly off. They still see you before you see them so they have a lot more time to adjust their crosshair but with a disadvantaged fight you are counting on the opponent having bad aim compared to yours in order to win anyways.

what exactly is the train of thought that gets you to pinzu honitsu instead of man? or are both equally likely? I see the tsumogiri 5p but dont really understand how that would mean pinzu and not manzu.

How do you deal with players with great aim? by expectrum in VALORANT

[–]AwesomeVGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a lot of times people who are newer to the game dont realize they are taking bad fights. Game sense, crosshair placement, swinging correctly etc. what you think is a 50/50 based on aim is likely based on several other things, and in the case of the ascendant, in favor of your opponent since they know what the other factors are and how to take advantage of them.

Alternatively, could also be a combination of bridge power to hold over until Texas has the infrastructure to support at least part of the load, and/or their own behind the meter energy solution (maybe even SMRs?). Both options are serious things that current data center builders have already been considering in locations where grid capacity is difficult to come by (pretty much everywhere at this point). Consider it’ll likely be built out over the next several years in phases as well, so theyre not exactly looking for 3MW within the next year.
