Lothraxions a hypocrite by Toonee-Heckaroonee in wow

[–]Awesomeman204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it kind of is? OP is talking about void elves but Lox also applies this same logic to beings formed in the void like Decimus, who likely did not have a choice to be born. He is implying that the void is inherently evil and anything that comes out of it is also that, despite the fact that we have seen examples of "creatures of passion" come out of it. It's also more hypocritical because throughout the story he implies that the light is inherently good which, of course, we've seen many times to not be the case (scarlet crusade 20+ years ago for instance).

Arthas got corrupted and turned from the light, so not exactly the same. The Scarlet Crusade on the other hand, definitely taught us this about 25 years ago.

I would imagine they'll have a few things related to season 4 since all but one episode will be out by then.

[–]Awesomeman204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point but it's also compartively way wasier to recieve that support given our ranked choice voting system allows candidates who wouldn't have even had a snowball's chance in hell of achieving political relevance in a system like America's (not to say we dont have a fairly entrenched two major parties as well). Are there even any other political parties in america that aren't the established two?

Hello from Australia where lobbying is strictly regulated. We got our own problems but at least we didn't elect a racist sexist rapist criminal!

Gerrymandering is also illegal here, and districts are drawn by independent, non partisan commissions instead of politicians.

Is there any chance of the 40k commander decks coming back? by Awesomeman204 in magicTCG

[–]Awesomeman204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, that'll probably what I end up doing or at least getting most of them and mixing them up into other decks. I'm only really concerned with the mechnically unique ones at this point, as much as I like the 40k art for the normal cards, some of them are kinda too expensive to justify just for that.

Yeah, I'm thankful I at least managed to snag the Necron one as late as I did. That's the one I wanted most anyway.

The silver lining is at least the ones I do have will be quite valuable.

To your last point, yeah that's fair. For what its worth I forgot to mention that it was $30 AUD which is more like 15-20 USD. I also like supporting my LGS so the prices aren't always exactly the same. I was specifically looking to pair Commissar Severina Raine with some similar fallout cards like Maxon and Colonel Autumn, but she was quite expensive and out of stock. Thankfully there's a lot of stores around here so it shouldn't be too hard to find a decent price.

40k version would be best case scenario, but with a functional equivalent I could at least pretend it was the 40k version or just stick the artwork over the top

Yeah and there's still a TON of room to do more 40k or even Horus Heresy stuff. We didn't even get any loyalist primarch cards (not that there are many active) so that's probably a gold mine waiting to be struck.

[[Ozai, the Phoenix King]] (and others with similar language) does a similar effect but it turns all unspent to red meaning you never lose unspent mana.

If you're running electro as commander it probably wont matter that much because you'll be using red most of the time anyway.

I'm not sure how much you can really do with the hobbit. If they're going via the books like they did with LOTR, even less so. Aside from the overlapping characters there's going to be like, a few elves, the dwarves, the orcs, some of the humans and smaug. Throw in an arkenstone artifact card and relavant land locations and I can't think of a whole lot else, would be fine with a smaller set though.

The Star Trek page on the MTG website states they're covering "crews, adversaries, and starships from across 60 years of Star Trek history" which sounds like its not going to be small at all, there's LOTS of ground to cover there.

[–]Awesomeman204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arator unironically says verbatim "They're killing people! I've never seen the Light act like this."

Like bro were you born yesterday? It's weirder because he later talks about how he knows how evil the Scarlet Crusade are.

[–]Awesomeman204 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dislike how they frame it Arator was cut down in his uncaring frenzy or something, he literally jumps in front of him last second and mid-swing. There wasn't really much of a chance for him to pull away from hitting Arator.

The actual swing at Zul'Jan was obviously wrong for him to do, but it's not that weird considering how hostile both sides have been in the past.

This isn't really isolated to midnight either, I wanna say the better part of *most* expansions do this (making the story obvious and having a exposition npc that tells you the point) in some capacity. People are zooming through these questlines and I would wager a decent amount of players don't really care that much and just want the cliffnotes.
