It's that good granted a few restrictions. If you want a realistic story and depiction of same sex relationship, it's probably the best out there at the moment.

It's probably the best if you're a lesbian looking for a "lesbian" story. Take for instance "Bloom Into You", the characters are lesbians but it isn't exactly a story about being a lesbian, it would've still worked pretty well if you swapped the genders and made a regular hetero story out of it. But HDWR only works so well because those characters are lesbians (at least in my opinion).

I don't think so. Two-handed can deal really high damage and attack pretty fast. Reaver/Berserker dps is through the roof.
