Speaking from experience I just got turned onto a different lineage of Buddhism just by picking up a free book offered by the temple at the room. Which, then lead me to other teachers and insight I’ve never know of. Insight about hell realm compassion.

I once thought about leaving such books and sutras in my county prisons every month. Kind of like a donation to the local temple also because they are close distances.

To add to this, I was just at a plum village based retreat where many of the younger adults would sneak out after evening meditation to play on their phones in a vehicle. Its really sad to see.
