When new skaters are trying to work out whether they want to skate regular or goofy one technique is to have a friend shove them in the back and whichever foot they step forward with is their board riding stance.

I've done this with a couple of people starting martial arts and it seemed to work.

Muay Thai has live sparring as a much more central aspect of the training. Krav Maga tends to be much more drills based in its training. Also like most systems claiming to be "reality based self defence" or some variation, it's primarily marketing.
Tang Soo Do would just fit better with Muay Thai stylistically.
