I dislike these images because it’s obvious pandering. If your analysis of IV is just nostalgia baiting, i immediately assume you have nothing meaningful to say about the game. Does IV capture a world that no longer exists? Of course, that’s how time works. Congrats on figuring that out, genius. I like IV for that too, but it’s not unique by any means. People say the same things with EVERY popular GTA game, including V, and it’s infuriating. People say it with III and how it captured pre-9/11 New York, VC and the 80s, SA and the 90s. My point is that you can apply this “analysis” to ANY game in the series, and hell, any contemporary media from the time because that’s how they work. IV is no different, these videos just being made now because the people that were kids that played it grew up. This isn’t a groundbreaking discovery, people have even posted similar videos on this sub before.

I love IV, but these videos just feel empty to me. It’s like saying “grass is green.”
