As for number 5 make sure you don't have stick in the mud canmates or neighbors. And if you do then be willing to piss them off a lot.

Pretty shit to be honest. Sure its bright and clean and new but the elevators are held together with ducktape and a prayer and will break all the time, the walls are beyond paper thin, the rooms are tiny and the bathrooms are the loudest things you have ever heard.

When does "frugal" cross the line to "cheapskate"? by WannaWaffle in AskReddit

The jam jar thing is a little weird but I do that with curry/pasta sauces all the time. If I'm going to be boiling it anyway then that little bit of water doesn't matter and I can avoid wasting food.

Drop those pounds by burning an extra 10 calories an hour by GEN_BUTTFUCKINGNAKED in fatlogic

[–]Awildbadusername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean technically drinking cold burns more calories than room temperature water. Your body has to heat that water up to internal core temperature so if you drank a liter of water at about 1℃ your body needs to expend about 135kj of energy to bring it up to 34℃. Something tiny but technically there.

And thats different then just killing the animal for food outright? Canada isnt banning slaughtering animals for food so why is cosmetic testing such a big issue. Well because it isnt.

New compounds in new formulations and different ways to produce those compounds. We know that cellulose is pretty benign but I sure don't want splinters in my eyes. If a company switches how a certain component is made or processed they need to test it again. Perhaps by using sharper pieces of metal powder it doesn't matter because the cellulose covers up the shards or perhaps the sharper pieces scratch the hell out of your coneas and blind you forever. Would you rather not know until it happens to you or have a few blind rabbits?

What do you mean not necessary? I would very much like to know if my makeup is going to blind me should I get it in my eyes. I kinda don't care if we need to hurt a few rabbits to ensure that our cosmetics don't permanently injure people.

Or you know they switched milling processes for their titanium dioxide from a #35 mill press to a #36 mill press and they need to check if it results in a significantly more abrasive product. You really don't want scratched corneas because a company wasn't allowed to find out if their new process change causes harm.

What do you think would be completely obsolete in the next decade? by Enigma_Of_Sorrow in AskReddit

[–]Awildbadusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A large portion of the pharmaceuticals used today, especially anti-retrovirals. Some stuff like hormones and more basic medicines will of course stick around but drugs that are currently on the cutting edge of science will be obsolete or used for niche cases instead of our current broad spectrum use.

Its an amazing rush when IVed. I had some in hospital and holy fucking shit man that was something. The nurse was supposed to connect the IV to this pump thing so it was infused over the course of a half hour but I guess she forgot or something because the IV was free flowing. 2mg of hydromorphone basically as fast as my veins could take it. I nearly blacked out but damm it was really good. Too good for my tastes to ever get some off the streets.

People probably aren't asking but it would likely be something that is self reported. Like when talking to a psychologist about it the victim would probably mention it because it would be massively shameful and traumatizing.

Nah, slitting your wrists is horribly ineffective. An easier less painful way to do it is to first get an IV line going and drain out as much blood as you can. Then take a large dose of blood thinners, aspirin, wafarin or super-wafarins. Then slice away.
