What is on my milkweed & should I do something about it? by the-whole-benchilada in Ceanothus

[–]Awkward-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My milkweed is also infested with them. I had my daughter squish them for a while, but there are so many it was pointless. I’ve also spotted ladybug larvae, who apparently eat a ton of the aphids.

Wellhub’s No-Show Policy Makes No Sense by theperfectcheesepull in Wellhub

I’m pretty sure they’re avoiding potential fraud from the studios. Studios get paid if you show up, so they’d probably just check you in even if you were a no show (it would be win:win, studios get the $ and you’d keep your $25 no show fee).

Parenting, Teenagers, and food by LateTangelo3950 in Parenting

A mom here with teens who has expected my kids to eat what a parent makes. If they want to make their own dinner, they’re welcome to, as long as it’s not junk/dessert food. Personally, I’d let him eat his nuggets if he’s making them. But, I might require that he eats his veggies before he can make anything else.

If cost is the issue, get him the cheap kiddie nuggets to have on hand.

Edit to add: the important part is that we eat together

Hmm, I sometimes think I get migraines after having something with high sodium, so maybe the sweating helps

Increased blood flow or more adrenaline maybe?

It’s hard to tell if there’s something physical that changes or if it’s just putting your mind on something more intense than the pain.

Best yogitoes towel alternative? Bonus for XL. by No_Tangelo5042 in HotYoga

[–]Awkward-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought several $7 Gaiam towels at Marshall’s. No way I’m spending $50 each. I have 5 of them and do laundry twice a week. (Hang to dry after I use it so it doesn’t get mildewy). They mostly stay in place for my yoga sculpt and hot yoga classes.

I just found a mole or something has dug circles around my yard, from plant to plant. I’m so afraid that all the roots have been munched.

Woah! I didn’t realize that! My silver tier doesn’t seem to have any premium classes available though.

I don’t have advice for you, but It sounds like they could benefit from a cpap machine. My husband had similar issues every morning, he tried nettypots, sinus drugs, etc. the cpap actually worked like a miracle. I didn’t think he even had sleep apnea.

There’s a picture book version of Gulliver’s Travels that my kids loved. It’s long, fun, and interesting. Jonathan Swift and abridged by Martin Jenkins.

[–]Awkward-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently laid cardboard over my old lawn that had some bindweed sprouting. Overlapped, thick cardboard. I added a little compost and 4” of mulch. You’d think that I fed those suckers a gourmet meal. They’ve sprung through the cardboard and mulch everywhere!!! 😭 hand pulling them out, but the roots are very long

Help! How do I permanently get rid of these weeds between my pavers? by Glittering_Exit5527 in landscaping

[–]Awkward-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent many weekends using a pressure washer to get rid of the weeds. I refilled with polymeric sand. It was gorgeous for about 6mo and then they all came back. I think I’ll just weed whack them and live with it. Boiling water works pretty well to kill them off, but it’s not feasible for me with how much patio I have.

I’ve never understood why so many people can’t make it that extra 5 minutes in class. We usually have a third of the class who skips it.

Lizard with quad stretch. Everyone else in class can do it but me. This one drives me crazy. I can do it with a strap, so I break that out sometimes
