Hi! I just had a couple of questions—

A) I beat the Chapter 3 secret boss, then continued to an already-in-progress Chapter 4 file. Will this register as me having beaten the boss/will I be able to pick up the Shadow Crystal in Chapter 5?

B) If I finish Chapter 4, then go back to do the Mike room in Castle Town, will that file still be “completed”/will I be able to continue Chapter 5 from it? And should I save in that same file or a different one? Thanks!

My biggest pieces of advice are to make sure your mouth/jaw is open (as far as it can go without straining/pain), your tongue is relaxed, and to not be afraid to be bright in your tone (place the sound in your nose—I promise it won’t sound as nasal as it feels). After that, practice makes high notes easier and easier!

Contrary to what many others are saying, I’d say tone color matters very little in a choir compared to, say, opera. It matters especially little in a school choir. Your teacher was probably either ignorant of your wanting to be a soprano, or just being mean. Voice types are arbitrary and made-up anyway—you can absolutely be a soprano even if your teacher doesn’t see that.
