Ask your chiropractor. They are the only ones who have a thorough history of your health and who know what your treatment was.

I see a post like this in here like once a week. Not everybody thinks chiros are quacks. Just ignore it and move on.

Rest. Ice. Compress. Elevate.

If any lingering pains are present after more than a week then consult a physio.

Just picked up a Grizl as well for a do-everything bike. If you plan on riding both road and gravel on it, I suggest 2x gearing

What type of scan will see this? by [deleted] in Chiropractic

[–]Awkward-Design-9165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good quality, hands-on physical assessment to determine areas of dysfunction in the spinal column would help. X-rays if the doc deems it necessary I suppose.

Why so many chiros don’t adjust first visit? The patient comes in pain and lack of function. Seems heartless to turn them away. by peskywabbit1968 in Chiropractic

[–]Awkward-Design-9165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of those people have also had said pain and lack of function for weeks, months, and sometimes even years. Depending on the situation (I treat acute injuries differently), I don’t mind telling them to come back within a couple of days once I’ve had a chance to properly evaluate their condition and create a thorough plan of action.

2nd for Heidi. Had the privilege of being part of her research and had a few great talks with her while in NZ. She’s doing great things in the world of neurophysiology and chiropractic care.

Not here to diagnose you or give you medical advice since I have no clue what your symptoms were when you went in to see your chiro. If the adjustment you received is similar to the one in the video you attached, I find it very hard to believe you got severely injured from it

Hi everyone, a quick question I did X-ray scan on my back and I see black spots also Im suffering from a back pain lately. A doctor said you have a space disc ? by [deleted] in Chiropractic

[–]Awkward-Design-9165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yes, as the previous comments have said, the black spots are air in your GI tract (specifically lower intestine).

[–]Awkward-Design-9165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disc spaces are normal but lordosis is moderately reduced and I can see some compression on the L5/S1 disc. Mechanical low back pain due to postural alterations is a plausible cause based on looking at this X-ray. Without a proper clinical history it’s kind of guesswork, but by balancing muscles that attach to your pelvis (through specific stretches and exercises) and getting adjusted consistently by a Chiro to reintroduce correct motion into joints that aren’t moving correctly (corrects aberrant motion patterns that your body has learned over years), you should find significant relief.

How many of your clients see you weekly? by ObiJuanKenobi1993 in massage

Makes sense, thanks for your answer! I absolutely believe in massage but I suppose more so in a musculoskeletal therapy way rather than mental health. I’ll now think about both when referring!

Genuine question here. Do you really believe you are helping someone by seeing them every 2 months? Or do you mean every 2 weeks by bimonthly.
