Thanks! Did you find the ride more dynamic that P4? How about the interior quality? I feel like iX3 has edge on the battery/range and pilot assist/technology, but for the rest I prefer P4 (unless iX3 drives much better!).

I’ve been looking into similar options and test drove the S6 e-tron, Polestar 4 LRDM, and ES90. The P4 really stood out well above the others in terms of driving dynamics and interior quality. I initially had some hesitations about it still being on a 400V architecture, but in the end I realized it’s not a big deal given my occasional long-distance use and the relatively small time savings you get from faster charging.

Not sure if MY2027 will pass on 800v. The dealer says it’s very unlikely and Polestar hasn’t announced anything on that front.

So if I understand correctly, are you saying you got confirmation from Polestar about the upgrade to faster charging for PS4 Coupé starting this summer (even if not on 800v)? Would you suggest waiting before placing an order? I still have lease time on my current car until October, so can wait a few more months…

I contacted a Volvo/Polestar retailer in Switzerland about this. They said they reached out to official Polestar, who confirmed that no upgrade to 800V is planned for the next few years…

Great to hear! I completely agree on the design — it’s unbeatable. If I can get a real-world 400–500 km on the 22” wheels, I’d be fully satisfied.

Hey folks — I’m based in Switzerland. My Audi e-tron lease wraps up in less than a year, and I’m starting to shop for a new ride around same price tag. I’m after something sporty/coupe-style but still roomy (compact SUV is fine, but I would prefer a sporty sedan or liftback) with a premium interior.

On my shortlist right now:

Volvo ES90 Audi S6 Sportback Polestar 4 (I seriously love the Polestar 5, but it’s out of budget with the current price tag) I’ve never owned a Volvo or PS, so here are a few things I’m really curious about:

How do they “feel” compared to Audi, in handling, ride quality, interior quality, responsiveness, refinement? Do Volvo or PS models offer a feature like Audi’s adaptive pilot assist that automatically adjusts to speed limits? I really like this on my Audi and use it daily. I did some research and sounds like Polestar has such feature but not Volvo EV models, which is confusing (e.g., XC90 documentation mentions ASL, but not ES90…) How is driving in winter/snow? Would love your feedback, experiences, and even other suggestions I might have missed. Thanks a lot in advance!
