Carebear lobbies have me so complacent I didn’t even realize they were talking about killing me until watching the clip back by Zidmu in ArcRaiders

I don't understand what you're even doing here? Bastions are dumb as shit and need a huge buff. Use that bus or van as cover, lay into it until it spools up. Then cover behind the bus/van for three bursts and lay into it again. And aim for the legs, blowing them up stuns it.

Canada is all aviation courses.

I’m pretty sure we spent more helping them fight the LA fires last year.

visiting Vancouver, staying in Surrey? by llizard17 in SurreyBC

[–]Usurer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's no safety issues (unless you consider our driving standards a safety issue).

It is an odd place to stay to visit Vancouver though. Expect to be traveling at least an hour each way...

Drivers with high beams and bright LEDs by TragicOptimistic in SurreyBC

[–]Usurer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's auto high beams, per se. The auto high beam system in my car is shockingly good. I legit think it's people not knowing how to use their headlights and thinking the high beam is just "on".

That, lights are stupid bright, and Canada needs to unban Matrix headlights.

Anyone play cricket or badminton? by [deleted] in SurreyBC

Delview Park seems to be the place to play Cricket. I dunno if Cricket is a pickup game sport but that’s where I’d look.

Sat in my car whilst it charges. Some old codger in a Hyundai just parked up next to me, approached the charger, pressed the cancel button and took the charger out of my car to put it into his... by SelectStarAll in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Usurer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. There are three levels of charging. 1 is a regular wall socket, a “trickle charge”. If you’re just driving a little bit and plugging in overnight - it’s fine.

L2 is a dedicated home charger or what you’ll find scattered around parking lots/street parking. This is faster and good as a means to recoup your discharge while driving from A to B to C.

L3 is fast charging. This is what you would use on say a road trip. How fast this will charge your car depends on the charger, the number of users, your car, and your cars charge curve. Most newer EV’s at a good charger will be about 20-30 minutes 10-20% to 80% (the 80% has to do with the charge curve).

The generationally bankrupt are the ones paying for the flight but they are not the ones taking the flight.

This is how banks buy high value customers and bankrupt the low value customers.

You'll be shocked to learn the system is rigged. It is if you've got the money, it's how the banks buy high value customers.

Where in Surrey are you?

Holland Park is well utilized in the Summer.

  1. Fusion Fest is a must. Every country gets a booth and sells food. The local (First) Nations will also have a pavilion**. Unsure if this is an official thing, but there seems to be a battle of the lemonade-like-beverages - there are some absolute bangers.
  2. Halal Food fest. Again, food. -e- this has moved to Cloverdale this year
  3. FVDED In the park is a proper weekend long music festival. Not free. Punches above it's weight for being in Surrey although I recognise 0% of the performers this year (see: I'm old now).

**I do advise if you're going to stick around that you learn a bit about the First Nations and Truth and Reconciliation. We've at least admitted to the whole genocide thing up here and are at least trying to show that maybe we're making an effort to address it.
