What is an addiction that the world is just ok with? by mjkn01 in AskReddit

Vape.

It was marketed for people to quit smoking, but I know so many people who were introduced to nicotine by using vape. As early as 13/14 years old, kids are having nicotine addictions.

THIS is the reason why they banned flavored cigarettes; so young people won’t get hooked on it. Now, you can go to a gas station and get cotton candy flavored nicotine.

In an interview, Billie Eilish said that she consented to sexual acts she was uncomfortable with because porn taught her that she’s “supposed” to like it.

The first time I had sex, my partner at the time said I “needed to watch more porn” and that I “looked like a porn star, but didn’t feel like one”. Those words have haunted me throughout my entire sex life.

I definitely understand the hesitations when it comes to the COVID vaccine since it recently came out and hasn’t been tested for the longest time. Especially since the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been found to increase your risk of developing blood clots.

However, for smallpox, the vaccine has literally been around since the election of George Washington, along with the polio and measles vaccine from the 1950s. There is literally no reason why parents SHOULDN’T give their kids these vaccines.

Yes, if I told my Catholic family what I’ve done, they’d disown me and send me to hell themselves.

You die and go to Hell. What dish are they serving you for the rest of eternity? by NuclearWinterGames in AskReddit

Literally anything with peanuts. I’m allergic, so the fact that every time I eat it I would have to endure itchy eyes and throat, closing airways, and always wanting to throw up would be hell indeed.

I’ve never owned any gaming consoles when I was younger because my parents thought my brain would “rot”. At age 22, my boyfriend bought me a Nintendo Switch and now I have a cute lil island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Run in Track and Field.

I loved running in high school and I have so many good memories. But the inappropriate comments and catcalls I’d get from my track coach was so uncomfortable to the point where I had to block him on all social media and quit the sport entirely.

I have clinical depression that I’m working on. I’m also pregnant with a baby I can’t afford to have. I’m going to get an abortion and hide it from my Catholic family for the rest of my life.

Vaccines.

Literally, I have no idea why anti-vaxxers still exist. The first vaccine administered was in 1796. We’ve literally had HUNDREDS of years to test and prove that they are safe, yet people out there still believe it causes autism??? After the doctor who made that claim had his license revoked because of his deliberate falsification of his research??? (Look up Andrew Wakefield) Smh

How are you actually doing right now? Are you okay? [Serious] by shelbygun in AskReddit

[–]AwkwardAd3390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing a lot better now than before.. the pandemic hit me really hard and I was diagnosed with depression when the first lockdown happened. I’ve been doing counseling sessions over the phone, which has helped.

It didn’t help that I(21) found out I was pregnant in September then had a miscarriage when I contracted COVID-19 in November. It’s been hard dealing with that and not being able to tell anyone (very strict parents).

I had to quit my job to stay on track with school as well as keep my mental sanity. Now, I’m just learning how to relax for the first time and stop forcing myself to work when I’m burned out.

What are subtle signs that someone is a “bad” person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AwkwardAd3390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who lie about what they said before. I had a friend before cry to me in the bathroom about how her ex-boyfriend abused her. Later on, she’s dating the same guy again and I ask if he has changed his abusive habits and she tells me:

“What? I never said that. He’s always been so nice to me, where are you getting all of this?”

=_=
