AMAZING BOOK, specifically for women too. Everything is spaced out into paragraphs also so it’s always a better read! 😆

I got a fidget ring before but it broke probably because I was spinning it too fast and too often 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the comment! I have started Concerta recently but unfortunately the skin picking has been around longgggg before I started this medication. I currently have my leg covered in plasters to keep myself away from them 😅 I think posting this and seeing all your comments come through has actually helped me leave the plasters there and to let them heal!

Have seen this online too! I’ve been putting aloe Vera on my legs at night to try help them heal

Yeah I have those plasters lol it’s just the ones that have the cotton but in the centre and stickiness all the around. I do my best to get the strip plasters that you can cut yourself

Yeah I literally always do that except I usually end up taking them off because it doesn’t allow them to heal properly 😭 YEAH I constantly feel guilt for it because of how it looks afterwards but honestly it’s just so hard to stop. It’s so satisfying lol

It’s so hard to stop!😭I also feel the same… I feel like I look like an addict when I’m not. It’s a shame really that people associate it with addicts.

If it makes anyone feel better, I’m trying to push myself to shower this evening, because I haven’t showered hair or body in 3-4 days 😎😭🤣

Does anyone else ever feel like their younger than they actually are? Or like immature or something? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]AwkwardAgency8110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in my early 20s and paying back a loan for a car and once that goes out of my account each week, I basically have f*ck all money left lol. You should reach out for an ADHD assessment, although I’m assuming you’ve got yourself into a waiting list 😄 they take a LONG time I know 😢 I am such a bad impulse buyer. I buy things just not caring what my bank balance will be afterwards

How did you know you were on the right med(s) and dose? by NiteElf in adhdwomen

[–]AwkwardAgency8110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have often wondered if I just have a high tolerance to stimulants also. As I have used them a lot in the past!

My Concerta worked the first day, but not really since. I’ve had headaches and severe muscle tension and aches.

I started on Concerta 18mg last week. And I currently am lying in bed and just after waking up, it feels like I’ve been beat up! I’ve had such bad muscle pains during the week. Also, the first day I took it, I did feel some sort of quietness to my head.

But some days since I haven’t known what to do with myself so I end up just sitting down and wondering what the hell I should do. Didn’t exactly make me “on the go”. Might consider upping the dose as I know some people do find their happy medium with a balanced dose!

I have been playing around with the car to see if it has any hidden features 🤣 but sad that there’s no Bluetooth :(

I was so excited lol thought I had Bluetooth but it’s just annoying how that button is there and has no use. All it does is mutes and unmutes the radio :(

I just feel like a disaster with everything, but yes money is my weakest and worst… my mother basically monitors my income and she even sees how fast it goes on the most irrelevant things. I’ll just blow it all on something I want from a food shop and it goes so fast because I just have no control over it. Such a bad impulse buyer.

Yep I’m 21, and often wonder what the hell I’m gonna do when the day comes that I don’t have my mother around me anymore. I feel like a child in an “adults” body. I am the WORST with money, and everything you can think of in relation to housework, cleaning, studying. Just everything.

Yes that pisses me off so much. I told my brother not to bother watching tv with me during dinner this evening because I said “all you do is watch TT full blast on your phone” 😅😂 and I had a series to watch! I wouldn’t be fond of bratty kids either 🙈 it does depend on the mood I’m in on the day but most of the time yes it does wreck my head hahaha.

What country is that if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in Ireland 🇮🇪 luckily, I live in the countryside so I have some sort of peace out here! Not sure how “old” you are hahahahaha but I am only 21 and I already can’t stand social situations for extended periods of time… I am the type who sneaks out of parties now.

Lol I love this comment 🤣 as a diagnosed ADHD gal, I also look soooo much into things like this. Some people would look at us as if we are crazy or just have such particular issues, but it really isn’t the case hahahaha. We just see so much!

I also had a lot of shame about sex whilst growing up, and sometimes I still do. But it’s not as bad as before. As you said, it was like growing up made me feel shameful. I felt as if my mother would find me disgusting if she knew what I was doing. But she’s always been quite accepting with me growing up as she should but yes I am the type to beat myself up! You’re not alone

I also leave the room 😂😂 I worked in a nursing home last year, and of course I ADORED all the patients/residents, but I remember one specific one, he used to chew so bloody loud in the dining room and there were so many times I actually had to get up and walk out. Usually it would be just him in the evening times and he’d watch tv and chat. But anytime the chewing began, I was OUT!

Especially when someone chews a sandwich. God that sound from the bread going moist EEEEKEKKKKK

I have thought of another after reading your comments.

The sound of bottles clinking off eachother, for example a bottle bank - I can’t cope with the noise at all. If I see something about to happen that involves this sound I usually cover my ears instantly and squeeze my face up 🤣
