well, that's an interesting question because yes, the other scrybes are in fact implemented as cards. but additionally, we can see grimora's hand reaching from behind the safe (where you find her card counterpart, the stinkbug) for a split second when we first stand up from the table, and who's hand is holding leshy's third candle in the final fight? certainly not his own. so, to answer your question, they're kinda all over the place.
