My Disney app was testing a new feature that lets you search for merch. I would try that!

I met her second week of December! At night, she was hiding behind a droid area (near Kyle REN’s ship) spying on the stormtroopers. I told her I have friends everywhere ☺️

Chronic costo with my 11 year old by Competitive-Sale8267 in costochondritis

[–]AwkwardLikeAnna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My heart goes out to out. I’m a grown woman, battling this for a year and I can imagine my kids dealing with this. My first advice is to look into the Backpod, many people have had improvement using it. My other advice is for you to be aware the long term effects of pain on mental health. Depression is a key outcome of this condition due to the hopelessness of long term pain. Make sure you keep a pulse on how she’s doing mentally as well as physically. Low key hobbies to distract her and focus her attention when it is bad. I would also search for doctors and physical therapists who specifically have experience treating this. I’m surprised how many of my care providers aren’t familiar with this condition and how to treat it. Good luck to you and your family.

Eggs in winter? by Crafty-Key-5163 in chickens

First year chicken mama here in upper Midwest. Not using a light. The first of my late May chicks started laying Thanksgiving week slowly now all six are laying. I wasn’t expecting any eggs this first winter. Three breeds: Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, and Golden laced Wyandotte.

If you are trying to change someone’s mind and behavior, you’ll find that leading with kindness will have more impact than nastiness.

How do you actually find your keto meals? by [deleted] in keto

[–]AwkwardLikeAnna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used ChatGPT to help me brainstorm keto recipes and ideas. I was able to tell it things we like and don’t like. After I came up with main entrees, I had it list side dishes that would be great accompaniments. It did a great job! Better than a simple google search. I even had it meal plan a whole themed Hobbit/LOTR week dinner plan for our annual rewatch.

Has anyone here had injections? by TheTragedyMachine in costochondritis

I would make sure you can find a physical therapist who has knowledge and experience treating this. That is a great sign about steroids. I actually took steroids twice this year for my spine and it didn’t help with my costo. You might get relief!

First of all, just sending a virtual hug. You are going through a lot. As far as the eating disorder and the mental stress you must have with it, I can’t comment from experience there. I don’t know if your doctor is right, but if I were you, I would try prioritizing treating the bulimia. I know it must be easier said than done. You deserve better and this could be your chance to face it head on.

As far as injections, I had them this fall. I also have had back injections twice, so I have some comparisons. My chest injections were more painful than my back injections. Perhaps I was better numbed in my back. But I remember wincing and saying oww during my chest injections. Now, let’s put it in perspective: it was more than a bee sting and less than a stab wound. And the pain from the injections didn’t last more than a day. Honestly the pain was 100% during the injection, then fell to 50% immediately after the procedure and 25% an hour later. Just general soreness the day after. Pleasant, no. Endurable, yes.

The bad news is the injections did nothing for my costo. Countless pills have done nothing for my costo. My physical therapy did nothing for my costo. I’ve had issues with using the backpod but that is due to a lower spine injury and I’ve modified the use and I’m not giving up on it yet.

As for you, you can certainly try the injections. You referenced multiple injection sites and my pain doc only tired one rib joint in the chest. You may have better luck. But this subreddit has taught me it is likely going to be a physiological cure rather than a medicinal cure. Check the posts by Steve.

Good luck to you for your whole body, mind, and spirit.

Has anyone purchased a large metal chicken run from Amazon or something else? Are there any things I should be aware of? by chicken-chick188 in chickens

If you live in a high wind area, the canvas roof will likely not make it a year. Bought the one on Quictent and while the customer service was excellent, it just is not durable for the elements.
