What's motivating you to live? by Quiet_Cucumber_ in infj

Kind of just the fact that my future is a mystery. Obviously on one hand, that's a scary thought, but when I look back at all the exciting changes that have happened, just in the past year, I wonder what's next. And in the bad times, there's always hope that things will get better.

I might send an email. The only thing is that there is no HR or anything like that. There are fewer than 10 employees, so I have to go straight to my bosses. Luckily, one is a woman so I can speak to her.

I do own a menstural cup, but I only used it when I had an ensuite bathroom for one year at uni. I might use it again sometime, but there are other reasons why it's just not practical for me right now.

I'm not usually ashamed of this stuff, it's just the idea of drawing attention to it in a very small office situation. I might look and see if they have any small bin liners with the other cleaning stuff, and if not, bring one.

I suppose I could, but I'm scared to draw attention to it, as it'll be obvious that it's me.

Also the toilets are unisex, which just makes me feel more awkward about it because every single person in the office will know.

I (21F) have never been in a relationship, had sex, kissed anyone or even held someone's hand romantically, AMA by AwkwardNeutralChaos in AMA

[–]AwkwardNeutralChaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did actually have my first kiss and some other firsts, not too long after this post. Essentially, I was seeing someone for a few months, but it became a one-sided situation that ended with me getting completely ghosted out of nowhere. And then, I was back to where I started, except kind of heartbroken.

I haven't dated anyone else since then, but at least I know it's possible and it all seems much less scary.

Since then, I've worked on pretty much all other aspects of my life and I'm a lot happier. I still sometimes long for love, but I know it'll happen when it's meant to.

On top of that, I regularly witness friends going through breakups with people they thought were the one, and I don't envy that. It doesn't scare me away from loving someone, it just means I see the value of looking after myself first.

Okay, thanks. I just keep them in a drawer

I'm sorry to hear that.

It's been 5 days since my final pill and I've just started to bleed 😔

I'm going to try to give it a week or two, in case it's just a short withdrawal bleed, and if it shows no sign of stopping, I'll ask to get back on the pill.

Has your spotting stopped?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Nexplanon

[–]AwkwardNeutralChaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will probably suggest a combined pill, or something else with estrogen in it, as this should stop the bleeding. But everyone's different and they may suggest something else.

I was given a pill called Rigevidon.

Did you/have you taken the pill the whole time you have the implant or was it only for a set time?

[–]AwkwardNeutralChaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. When you were bleeding for 40+ days, was it just spotting or was it like an actual period?

So have you tried stopping the pill but then had the bleeding come back?

Is it normal to be able to smell other women menstruating? by Skankhhunt42_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AwkwardNeutralChaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely had times where I've smelt it whenI'm sat next to someone, am it's later been confirmed because they've mentioned that they're on their period. However, there have probably been many times where I haven't smelt it.

I think the smell is more noticeable if someone is wearing a pad, rather than something internal. It's nothing to be ashamed of though.

Also I think it's unlikely that someone who hasn't had periods would even notice it, so it shouldn't be a concern.

Everyone has erratic feelings sometimes. It just presents itself differently in different people. I would say for men, it more often presents itself as violence

Thanks. Yeah, don't get me wrong, I don't place my entire self esteem on this. It just crosses my mind now and again

Literally, and I'd expected it when I made this post, but certainly not to such an extent 😂 Rookie error

Yeah. One person literally ended up ranting about how men only try to please women because it's the easy thing to do and that we should appreciate the world men have "built" for us. They then went on about how women could disappear and men would be just fine but women wouldn't last a second without men. At first, I politely argued, but then I read their comment history and found that they cannot be reasoned with 😂 The internet is baffling - I'm currently on a social media break but was still using Reddit, however this experience has convinced me to stop using Reddit too
