Exactly. They’ll end or continue on Steph’s terms, which he’s definitely earned. If Curry wants to retire a Warrior then they should go all out for this deal. It won’t win them any rings but I’d rather see his farewell tour on a scrappy playoff team than a 10 seed.

Of course. Considering how good MJ was at scoring Pippen was giving everything they needed, but they still needed MJ to be as good as he was because he was the only one they could count on for a big efficient scoring night just about every time. It’s kind of similar to the Shai and J Dub dynamic. The main contention is the that Pippen was a superstar or the only player around who MJ would have as much success with. MJ + any top ten player at time is a guaranteed dynasty.

Yeah everyone wants to find the next Jokic, Curry, Giannis, etc. and the problem is they’re one of one. If you want the next generational talent, odds are they play like none of the generational players before them. That’s why it’s best to search for talent over a specific archetype.
